The Official Tennessee Titans thread IV

Unpopular opinion but Brown is the most important player on this offense and maybe on the team overall (Simmons being the other option). Make him happy.

Not unpopular with me - I agree completely on both. They are both studs who set the tone.

The only other options I could anyone going with would be Tannehill or Henry. RB lacks value and our QB is what now, 34?

We should be building around Brown.

Both Henry and Tannehill are on the back side of effectiveness in their careers. Doesn't' mean they can't get the job done well enough to win as major contributors. But they need others to be the dogs and be emphasized.

Have loved Brown since his days at Ole Miss and Simmons at MSU. They bring that edge and never give up attitude that is infectious. Their talent and physical make-up are off the charts. You build both sides of the ball around them in my world.

With Brown it is why I keep stressing a strong TE and another speed WR. They need more match up problems that stretch the D's. Then Brown can do his best work all over the field in single coverage or zone. I don't want my primary RB with more than 20 carries per game. It's a long season and the guy needs to be fresh when it matters. If Henry cannot get rolling until he has 10-20 carries in a game, he would not fit in my O scheme. First, they don't have the O-line to sustain a ground and pound, heavy play action scheme anymore. Second, the hits he has taken are obviously taking their toll. The O-line could not sustain blocks last season for him to break free combined with him being slower to the LOS even before the injury. There's a short shelf life on RB's anyway and there are not a lot physical specimens like him around to draft/sign to replace with when his days are done. He gets one more shot this season to see if they can return to form on the ground IMO.

On D they are one injury on the edge from being back to ground zero on pass rush and Simmons getting hurt would be disasterous. Decent at LB. One injury from major issues in the secondary at both CB and S.

As an org they need to adapt to the changes in the game and their available roster or be content with 8 W's a season again. This draft and any trades are going to make or break them for several years IMO. Of course, they could care less what I think.

Agree on everything except corner. It's already a major concern unless we see serious development from Farley, which I think is slim given that he hasn't been healthy enough to develop.

If Carson Strong is available in the 3rd round..........I might have to jump on him.

McShay said they could take a QB at #26 if there is one they like that falls there. They would sit him and let Tannehill go in 2023 unless he has a great season this year.

Their never gonna take a Qb especially qt 26,could theu look at strong or someone if they drop to 5 or 6 maybe idk.Its a Good idea what their doing drum up interest make other teams 2nd guess themselves.Jrob is saying"Im at 26 taking a qb u better move up now..Or it could make a late rd team jump us which pushes another player down. All that make sense?

Mekhi Becton is a trade candidate during the draft. Would love to see if we could get him for this year’s third
