I was thinking of this as a possibility as well.

Step 1: Try to annex the entire country
Step 2: Fail miserably
Step 3: Regroup to break through defenses
Step 4: Settle for way less than you wanted in the end
Step 5: Declare Victory

Thus far, looks like Russia is advancing relatively quickly through the Donbas. Ukraine forces seem to be spent and demoralized and giving only token resistance now.

As I said over a month ago, the end result is already known the only unknown is how many Ukrainian service members and innocent civilians have to be sacrificed for the West and their puppet cokehead's pride.

Just read that about 50 million russians do not have a toilet in their home? Out of 180 million? No way these folks are that far behind western Europe right? Apparently looting of home appliances TVs etc by russian troops is also widespread? Is russia barely a 1st world country?

Something poetic in watching the trapped Neo-Nazi's, who terrorized the Donbas for years, beg for humanitarian corridors. Of course they aren't begging for humanitarian corridors for their human shields that they abducted into the Azovstal Plant with them to flee to, no, no, no, they want to be able to flee with them. Trapped like the human rats that they are.

I think the evidence was when roughly a thousand Ukrainian service members from Mariupol surrendered. Biden is so pathetic. I don't see the severely weakened Ukrainian forces making any attempt to regain the city or attempt to save their trapped neo-Nazi brethren.
