Crossing the Atlantic went from an impossibility to a regular thing, even if it took months.
Warfare went from men stabbing each other with swords, to muskets.
It's not like there was no innovation, or that none of them were inventive themselves. They would have known change is coming even if they couldnt predict the outcome.
I'd say they could envision super weapon explosives that would be prohibitively difficult to use with any regularityI can't imagine the people around during the preparation of the Constitution even imagining nuclear weapons or ICBMs. Even people a hundred years further down the line probably couldn't have imagined those.
someone did it alreadyI’d guess something like this. Disregard the labels but those apply on that topic too.

That's very easy to say from where we sit. We don't know her personal situation: family, friends, work, school, etc. Maybe she stays and tries to makes things better. If she leaves that's one less voice there against tyranny.I understand. Me... I'd move. A life without free speech is not one I would want.
Your posting history in this thread says otherwise.
Thank God the "adults" are back in charge. What a bunch of petty b1tches.
One of them, last year told me "we hate putin. we say we want to kill him"(referring to her friends) she said this without me even bringing politics up. What are they supposed to do? she ain't got no guns. she works at a ****in hotel and lives on the 17th floor of a ****** apartment building in moscow thats home to monthly rapes or stabbings/robberies. Theyre already cut off from any support at home and nobody abroad cares either.
id prefer the people of both countries to say **** our governments and work togetherEven here where we supposedly have more rights and influence, you could say with almost certainty that there's not one among us on VN who could do anything about Biden's idiocy and his policies. We can vote, but obviously we can't outvote 81M fools. It's a sad fact that people of a country have to be judged by their leaders.
Seems like big news.
