I think this argument is just intellectually dishonest.

No more money was spent on alcohol after prohibition ended? No more money in weed after legalization? No more money in gambling after legal sportsbooks starting pumping out billions in advertisement?

Deciding whether you want to play the bag man game with a few nice cars and some pocket change and deciding how you're gonna find 10 million dollars to get a decent signing class. Two totally different problems. For better or worse... Whatever. But it is not the same.

The one common thread in all of this is the government reaped more taxes when it all became legal
