Lane's portal success hasn't come from kids dying to play for him. $$$$ He may not have the money some schools do, but that doesn't mean he isn't spending what he has. Lane just has penis envy. All lane does is worry about tennessee and every other team in the league. It’s really tired. Dude is stuck in the SEC West and he knows he’s not taking them anywhere in Oxford.
I mean you get with the times or get left. Unless you wanna take 25 kids from the portal every single yr like he’s doing. Let’s see how that works long term.
Your reply has nothing to do with the tweet. It's not about the amount. Previously, recruits would switch commitments because someone offered more money under the table. Now, recruits switch commitments because someone offered more money above the table. That's the point of the tweet. Your reply was about something entirely different.I think this argument is just intellectually dishonest.
No more money was spent on alcohol after prohibition ended? No more money in weed after legalization? No more money in gambling after legal sportsbooks starting pumping out billions in advertisement?
Deciding whether you want to play the bag man game with a few nice cars and some pocket change and deciding how you're gonna find 10 million dollars to get a decent signing class. Two totally different problems. For better or worse... Whatever. But it is not the same.
Heupel and staff are getting a lot out of the current 3 star guys
Just wait!
That and putting them in a system that fits their skillset. You know when you watch some of those mid major teams and you see guys flash...and think dang how come we cant luck out and get a few of those. They seem so few and far between with us. QB's and skill players mainly. I will say even in all those down years we are still get those receivers though.
Wonder what the secret sauce is? Work ethic, intelligence, maturity, envisioning a 17-18 YO growth potential, etc.
