Maybe a bit of reality will tone down the hype. The hype is not helping the players at all. Now is the time for the players to regroup and figure some things out at the plate because the pitching ERA could never stay where it was the first half of the season to cover for the hitters eventually returning to earth. RISP production stats matter as an example. But only in the current trends - not from the first 20-25 games of the season. Opponents have the book on each hitter now. Time to work on individual approaches at the plate and for some clutch hitting instead of total dependence on the dingers.

Voltello knows all of this and is very capable of making a course correction. Message sent to the college baseball world and SEC in the first half of the season - check. Now let's see how the team responds in the second half when it matters most after facing some adversity.

MissSU has a natty trophy in their possession from last season by understanding and executing that way.

Saban concerned about competitive balance in college football? Look at the CFP participants since the playoffs started and tell me if the old system was competitively balanced. I'd argue the CFP pre-NIL era is the most unbalanced college football has been in my lifetime. I think it's very telling that him and Dabo are the biggest whiners so far. They know the NIL threatens their perch at the top.

The highest paid coach in college football arguing for equal pay among players. Why not equal pay among coaches? That would be just a fair as what he's proposing.

A coach making $9.7M a year complaining there's no salary cap for the players. Is there a salary cap for the coaches? What's his position on implementing one.

Saban complaining about teams making deals with high school players to go their school one year after making a $1M deal for his starting QB.

All this when the players aren't getting any real cut from the actual revenue of the sport via tickets and donations to the University. It's really wild to see filthy rich coaches complaining when their players start to get a cut.

And I didn't even get into the under the table payments he's almost certainly been making. If he was already paying them previously his only reason for opposing payments now would be because others can do it now too.

This guy is an awesome chef. I've been making his stuff for a few weeks now. Usually just pick something off his YouTube page a couple times a week and try to do it just like he says. I usually jack it up pretty good, but his are different. Easy to understand and duplicate and pretty cheap too.

The only part I hate about this is that I talk all kinds of Tennessee baseball trash to the other coaches in my North Carolina little league…. Now I am going to have to hear it back. LOL

Most every open minded person saw this coming long ago. Amateur and money does not mix, never has, never will. There is nobody to blame for this other than the Schools, Coaches, Media, Conferences and anybody else that is willing to use an 18 year old, unproven high school player as a vehicle to make money off of.

I know get of my high horse but it really is that basic and simple if you think about it. Now the box is open and it will be impossible to rein it in so everybody including Saban better get used to it . Funny thing is the one's whining about the way things are now are the ones that benefited the most from the under the table system of the past the most.

Not really. I don’t trash talk except for the texas longhorns. Have to put them in their place as the 2nd UT.
I will bash any school for their mascot as meaningless compared to the Volunteers and all of the the Nationally important history associated with our team’s mascot.
I will always say that I am more proud to be a Tennessee Volunteer regardless of sports than they could possibly be. Being a Tennessee Volunteer actually represents something important. Compared to being a insert meaningless college here…
