Florida and LSU are extremely beatable. Just a little irony, but ofc Pitt is being predicted to have another once in a generation season...just our luck. This is JMO but the Florida game is critical to win.Its just the whole we can't beat Florida thing,o course beating Bama or Georiga would be nice and I fully believe if the D is much improved we can win any game.I just think the Florida game is bigger from a perspective route and keeping this train rolling.
Depends how long you've been at this specific job for imo. And idk what you're in, but when I was young and working weekend jobs, such as restaurant work, if I really needed off I'd offer someone cash to swap shifts with me. Only had to once, but it worked. My boss scheduled me on Easter, 12 hour shift, while knowing everything going on in my family. Am I an ******* if I call out? I’m really considering it and I haven’t called out from a shift in 5 years or more at any job I’ve had.

Either way, give me all the SEC wins. Not expecting to "sweep the field" but going 5-3 in the SEC would be great...either 9-3/8-4 overall would be a great step forward.

It’s a restaurant job. I work 6 days a week. Left subbing/amazon driving for this because it’s good money for not a lot of hours. The whole point was having 3 days off so I could tend to my grandmother and uncle. Recently though, they’ve had a lot people fired or quitting.. so I’m up to 55-60 hours even though when I was hired, I was very forthright about requiring days off for family responsibilities. It’s ridiculous.Depends how long you've been at this specific job for imo. If you can't get anyone to switch, but have been there a few years, I'd expect you'll get a slide. If you've been there less than 1-2 years, I'd expect a writeup imo. Managers know it's bs when people call out on holidays...gotta weigh the pros and cons at that point.
Florida – Spring scouting
I think we have to keep in mind that everywhere else, just like with us normally, the spring game is mostly just a “show”. In Florida’s case they had their #1 offense going against their #2 defense and the #2 offense going against their #1 defense. You can imagine how that might look.
I thought Richardson looked good, or at least healthy. I thought a lot of the passes he made probably wouldn’t be there against even our defense and so I was thinking, that’s another interception for us. He’s never played against us but he’s thrown 7 TDs in his 2 years at Florida and 6 Interceptions. He’s only thrown 66 passes in his career. He’s a really good runner though but again in limited action. In the past he’s had injury issues, hamstring.
I listened to one of their more respected podcast guys and he went to the last scrimmage before the spring game. He said they don’t have an SEC roster. They don’t have any depth and Napier has said the same thing regarding depth. I figured he was just trying to recruit the portal. Napier says they have a long way to go and maybe to some extent that’s coach speak but they have a couple 5-star running backs that transferred in under Mehlen but the consensus seems to be that the RB that Napier brought with him from Louisiana is the best they’ve got. The podcast guy said the whole team was horrible in the scrimmage. Fans on the Gatorchatter message board apparently weren’t really inclined to argue with him.
Napier in the past runs more than he passes. The word down there right now is they are in desperate need of players at every position. There was a lot of talk about needing receivers in particular.
Florida has 3 games at home to open the season (Utah, Kentucky, & South Florida) and then we are their first road trip. I think defense is even more critical when you go on the road and if they can’t find any depth before facing our offense they’re probably going to struggle. jmo.
Anyway, both SP+ and FPI suggest we’ll be favored at home this year against the Gators. SP+ gives us around a 73.1% win probability and FPI right now suggests we have something like a 64.3% probability of coming out on top. TIFWIW.
Jmo but many tend to underestimate the likelihood of losing 1 game to a set of teams we are favored over. They'll see us as favorites against a set of 4 teams (such as Mizzou, USCjr, UK, Vandy) and chalk them up to 4 wins, when in reality we may be 60%, 70%, 80%, 90% favorites in the 4 games, meaning we still have a 70% chance to lose one of the 4.Exactly but unfortunately some fans prob have their sights set a little to high per usual u know how that goes.I think even last season surprised most of us so no reason we shouldn't be just as good if not better.Theres also alot more factors that come into play and we were lucky last year and didn't face a bunch of adveristy which was quiet surprising.
Guess I'm torn. One one hand I hate that places are even open on holidays (blame the folks that go out on holidays iyam). And if management understands your time restrictions, then that makes it even worse.I Hate hate hate having to do it
