Yep! With Russia's military (and general) incompetence it is much more plausible that two Ivans were smoking cigarettes in the ammo bay causing a huge explosion which listed the ship, all crew evacuated, then only sunk because it was stormy out. Yep. Russia's version of events makes perfect sense..

In no way does a direct cruise missile strike to that ship and the accounts of only 54 people being rescued by two foreign boats in the region hold any......water...

The truth is somewhere in the middle. What I believe happened is the Ukrainians watched that ships' routes for weeks using sniper training. Plotting it's course. They noticed an "opportunity" after Captain Obvious again departed his last station, had a few rounds to relax himself, and did his usual rounds too close to shore.

If it had just picked up crew it is altogether feasible she lost that many, but more than likley a few are in brigs awaiting questioning IMO.

I also believe two missiles hit the boat. I believe at least one missile ignited a secondary explosion of ammunition. Some of it's own warheads may have gone off? IDK the design of the ship. It went down pretty quick. Not sixty seconds quick, but quick.

Is this the "it's not the jump that kills you, but the sudden stop at the end" argument?

The russian media has admitted a big fire lead to their entire crew having to abandon ship. Then sometime after it sank. Whatever caused that fire, lead to the result of that ship sinking. Unless you really want to argue that the storm alone was going to sink that ship regardless.

Which I would actually enjoy, because that's would just point out how bad the russian navy is. We have moth balled ships for 40 years that dont sink in storms, yet the flagship of the Russian Black Sea fleet cant weather one storm after nothing at all went bad before hand.

A tweet that says Ukraine is doing well? It’s 100% accurate without question. A tweet that contradicts that? It’s 100% propaganda without question. Ok. Ukrainian missiles didn’t sink the cruiser. It was just more incompetence and blatant stupidity by a completely inept Russian military to deal with what should have been a manageable event and not stupidly cost the invading bastards one of only three of their Slava class cruisers and the flagship of the Black Sea fleet.

No they are suffering because Russia went on the offensive. That's where it started. The EU and US literally couldnt be meddling in the war if the Russians didnt start it.

And by your same argument you are jumping on every tweet that says Russia is winning, and no their ship didnt sink.

I don't understand why anyone would think that a warship in a war zone could be the casualty of the very things that occur during a war.

If you think about HOW the Ukrainians have been going about doing things, this fits the MO of Ukrainians like OJ's glove. It is obviously a Ukraine attack. The LEAD ship in one of the most strategically important battles of the war..... nope, that doesn't sound like Ukraine at all. If I were "the next ship up" I would be pretty damn nervous.

I don't even know what you are talking about? Yeah, he overran his supply lines more than once and had to stop until they caught up. IMO that's better than letting the tail wag the dog and giving the enemy time for an orderly reargaurd withdrawal.
