This is the beginning of the downward spiral of our season. This game alone will be looked back at as the reason this team’s success came to end. It’s officially official now that we likely won’t make it to Omaha, and if we do, we’ll be bounces out in the first round. This game says it all. We weren’t who we thought we were. We are a middle of the pack SEC team; no more and no less.

Nah, I’m kidding. This will probably light the fire under us for the rest of the season.

the best ever SEC record was the Vandy team that lost only three conference games, but then got beat in the super regionals. The following year they were just a few games above .500 in the conference and won it all at Omaha.

So the win streak is over. TTU played us close last time. It happens, Our lineup kept on taking bad swings. Hats off to the TTU relief pitcher. He kept us off balance all night.

1/3 is a fraction or percentage. It doesn’t matter how many games you play. 1/3 is 1/3.

College baseball powers lose midweek games to mid majors all the time. I know that won’t stop the newbie baseball fans who just hopped on board last year or this year from blowing this out of proportion, but those who understand college baseball know that this game is pretty inconsequential.

Exactly, and TV treated it as such. Several pitchers saw action although none of the pitching changes were needed. He didn't attempt to play small ball when we needed a single run, and he allowed the players to swing away.

Three yrs ago the avg Vol fan didn’t know college baseball existed middle of the week and couldn’t tell you who they played on a weekend series.

There is a lot of excitement on the Hill and this team will bounce back and regain its mojo. Go Vols, Beat Bama! And Nobody remembers tonight.
