Have you played a lot of baseball? I mean, 95 is incredibly fast. I know that there is no way that I could touch it.

Basing that on going to a 85-90mph batting cage and connecting with most of them. The movement is what really makes it hard, not necessarily the raw speed.

Guys wood bats don’t cause you look silly with the off speed pitches. Wood or metal these swings are horrible. It’s a weekday game. TN tech doing whatever it takes to win while we are throwing our entire pen for work. If we cared about truly winning Tidwell would have pitched 2-3 innings. It’s a risk Tony V was willing to take as he needed to get the other arms some work

Correct. This game is essentially meaningless to TV. It means plenty to us, though.

1. Wood bats and we don't have to worry about that anymore

Losing is one thing. The only thing that sucks is we used wood bats cause we thought this was a cake walk game. Plain and simple. It was an ego move and it came back to bite us so far. Probably should have approached it like any other game and tried to keep the train rolling. Good news is we can still win.

My take on it like the football team should approach Florida. Stop making it a spectacle, stop over hyping the whole game, treat it like any other game and stick with what’s working. I get both teams use them and there is no advantage but it is different and can throw a team off. You’re used to hitting bombs left and right and you start thinking during at bats. Just probably should have played a normal game and if you lose you lose.

It is only meant to show how high variance baseball is. Anyone can win or lose at anytime.

Fwiw I've posted similar struggles from other top teams the past few weekends...and we continued to win throughout. Statistically, we are playing well ahead of the wave.
