I don’t read here everyday; therefore, I don’t know if this has been discussed. If is true that they have Nico Lamaleava with a 8 million dollar NIL deal, would that not cause the coaching staff to have to play him? It is similar to the NFL in having a franchise paid QB at 30 mil a year compared to the backup making 2 mil a year but is playing better. I guess since it is truly an outside institution paying the bill it is not quite the same, but I could see that leading to issues with player disgruntlement. I can also see where a college coach has more leverage than an NFL because it is not affecting the institution that he is employed by and just could let him sit on the bench. He would still be getting the money, but not producing on yhe field. What if the starter is getting a $50,000, but the backup is getting $200,000 to sit the bench. The separation of the coach from the institution paying the bill probably makes that easier to manage than a GM and coach in the NFL, but to think that institution wouldn’t put pressure on the coaching staff about future interactions between the 2 is naive.

First off that's probably a heavily inflated number and BS.
Second off "they" aren't the university or coaching staff. So whoever "they" are that would be paying that NIL wouldn't be responsible for the amount of playing time Nico received.

I actually think we'll see some improvement in that OL. Ya lose Cade and return the bulk of the rest of the guys that got meaningful snaps.

Carvin, Spraggins, Cooper in the interior. Wright, Dayne both return ya add a mix of HS talent and a solid transfer (maybe another in future) as well.

Agree…especially if we can solidify LT so Wright can stay at RT where he is more comfortable. Carvin can play some C if need be. I think Nichols will find himself in the mix somewhere this Fall. Hopefully Crawford can be benificial. I think we’ll find out quickly after Spring if there is concern…hitting the portal.

Bally Sports has made it near impossible to watch the games if you don't have traditional game. I use to be able to watch the Reds on FSOhio on YouTube TV, but it's impossible to watch Bally Sports Ohio if you don't have traditional cable like Spectrum.

Yup. They ruined being able to watch the Preds for me.

I have said it in the past, the OL we are seeing is not something we are use to in a way. If nothing else last year should have shown us a lot about the system and what type of lineman they want . Lankier, strong, agile, fast and quick as opposed to bulky, big, strong and slow.

These guys need to be able to play 5 to 10 plays at top speed, with no breather score and get off the field. I think we all can agree the 15 play 10 minute drive is just not what they are going to do in this offense so the need for "Sumo Wrestlers" is not needed. To be honest after watching the speed that they play at and the scheme that CJH has they really just get in the way of instead of hold off defenders because the ball is gone so quick and that is a good thing for the OL.

Can’t wait to watch a safety try to cover Squirrel in the slot. I’m at work thinking about these things. I probably need help.

Just hope he develops the ability to beat press and physical corners. No doubt he'll have the speed/quickness to get by anyone that thinks they can stay with him. So teams will play him very physical (given his size too).

They also have went after fans for making their own social media content….. idiots don’t realize that is how you get people interested in the sport….. They use to not allow little league teams to not use MLB uniforms for kids…. This year we were told that we weren’t able to get them…. I hope it’s not bc MLB is being idiots again.

That must be a local thing. 30 years ago when I played little league, we definitely played with big league team names, and my son played fall ball this past year (same town), and they are still doing it.
