War in Ukraine

Or block Russia from bringing in supplies and equipment by ship.
What's the railroad situation in south, east Ukraine?

When the war started, I saw/posted an interesting video which discussed Russian military logistics. It pointed out that they are very dependent on the railroads. That explanation played out very well in the north. The Russians used rail to amass a large force, but the Ukrainians destroyed the tracks at the border. And so as we saw, when Russians were forced to supply via the roads, they ran into huge problems.

I'm wondering if there's a similar limitation on supplies in the south?

What if Putin just wants to reasserting control over the old USSR, and it doesn't have anything to do with your imagined conspiracy theories?

I didn't rule that out and have subscribed to it on the forum, so tuck your conspiracy statement into a handy nook. They're obviously questions meant to provoke thought beyond the superficial rationale we've subscribed to. And there's little question that Biden is compromised as a direct financial beneficiary of Hunter's business dealings, and interceded in the investigations of Burisma while undercutting State's mission in Ukraine.

If you don't question the degree of Biden's compromise and potential threat to national security, you don't distinguish yourself.

Not only do they have nice hardware, they make nice hardware. Sweden and Finland both have very seasoned special forces units who spent serious time in Afghanistan. Now Ukrainian SOF has only existed for like 5 years, and their only engagements have been with Russia so far. They have received training from US SOF and are giving Russia hell. That tells me Russia gets smoked by any NATO or modern Nordic country with an established and experienced military.

And not all Swedish hardware is military or hard either. I bumped into a street sign following a particular piece of Swedish hardware down a street in a place called Nykoping. She was wearing a see through skirt - her mom looked pretty good too (in my defense the girl was college age). Their politics are nutty, but I really liked Sweden.

We had idiots on here who thought when we were discussing Russian economic collapse meant in a week. Just stop. This is going to be a cataclysmic event for them. Yes Europe will suffer in higher fuel costs. Putin didn't realize Europe would be ok with it over him being a terrorist. What this means is zero foreign investment outside of China. And China will hold them over a barrel. Putin just set them back several decades. And before one of the three stooges says "they could have paid it back in rubles" the deal was dollars. And you would have had those if you hadn't invaded ukraine. So **** off. Putin's actions have consequences.

Speaking of Larry, Moe, and Curly boy they sure got awful quiet. Awaiting new propaganda to spread I guess 🤷‍♂️

IMO we don't really want Ukraine to win. We want ukraine to drag Russia into a multi decade conflict. We meaning our elected and military officials

That would be assuming we had rational people driving our response, and that looks questionable - especially if you factor in our prolonged engagements in the ME. Another thought - assuming we have rational decision makers - could be that we are providing hardware to sustain the Ukrainians with the hopes that Europe will jump in and provide weapons necessary for the knockout punch. Another thought is that we would probably prefer that Ukraine have donated Soviet and Russian hardware, so that our newer stuff is not compromised if captured - the Patriots to Slovakia in exchange for Slovakian S-300 antiaircraft systems to Ukraine, for example. That also takes into account Ukrainian familiarity with Russian/Soviet hardware vs a learning curve for our equipment - and we don't put boots into Ukraine to teach and maintain new hardware.

My mom's from Denmark. Sailed to Sweden before. They're generally hot but often nutty there. Great place to visit.

Lol, their economy is fine and will be fine. Hard to pay in dollars when your accounts are frozen. This is a non-story and impacts Russia not at all.
