War in Ukraine

You lost me at the ruble as the reserve currency and a Pan-African currency. Africa is far too fractured politically and economically to even begin to conceive of that in the next decade. The ruble is far too prone to inflation for reserve currency status. Do I think China would love to be in that position? Without a doubt

I agree and it's why I didn't use the term reserve currency, but petro-ruble which will drive demand for it. We'll see if Putin holds that line and what the outcome is. Also agree that an African petrodollar is a dark horse but the official reasons offered to date for Libya's destruction are not plausible. And you don't wait for the son of the man you slew to become a man.

Zelensky's complaint, essentially, is that he's getting weapons to keep him fighting but not weapons enabling a victory. I agree with that assessment. The question is why not? Our response has made no sense from the outset.

Otherwise, I'm posing those questions for comment or provoke thought. I don't think a federal contractor could gain security clearance with the Biden business dealings in their background, yet he's in the WH. I think likely he is severely compromised. Chaos is the weapon of choice for destroying a society and I think we, and the West generally, are under attack from within.
I don't claim to have the insight to draw conclusions to the questions I posed.

IMO we don't really want Ukraine to win. We want ukraine to drag Russia into a multi decade conflict. We meaning our elected and military officials

If Russia proves incapable of jamming or spoofing the forthcoming Switchblade 300s and 600s, these drones will turn the tide of War IMO... including in the frozen conflict regions.

That's entirely plausible; I posted a couple weeks ago that Ukraine may have been bartered away by the U.S. and allies. It's also plausible that Russia and Ukraine - especially Ukraine - have kompromat on Biden. No evidence has ever been presented that prosecutor Viktor Shokin was corrupt or not diligent pursuing corruption. To the contrary, it has the appearance of being a State Dept. smear campaign that was force multiplied by Western allies. Just five months before Biden demanded his firing, Kerry and Nuland had a letter hand-delivered to Shokin praising his anti-corruption efforts.

The UK has vowed to send 120 armoured vehicles to Ukraine following a meeting between Boris Johnson and Volodymyr Zelensky in Kyiv.

Downing Street said Britain would also dispatch a new anti-ship missile systems to support the country against the Russian invasion.

EDIT: These are Harpoon missiles. Pretty big deal.. Could change things for loitering Russian ships.

The Old Harpoon Missile, Explained:

The Harpoon has been described as the world’s most successful anti-ship missile, and it is currently in service with the armed forces of more than thirty nations. It has been regularly upgraded over the years, and this has led to the development of the standoff land attack missile (SLAM) and the SLAM expanded response (SLAM-ER).

We had idiots on here who thought when we were discussing Russian economic collapse meant in a week. Just stop. This is going to be a cataclysmic event for them. Yes Europe will suffer in higher fuel costs. Putin didn't realize Europe would be ok with it over him being a terrorist. What this means is zero foreign investment outside of China. And China will hold them over a barrel. Putin just set them back several decades. And before one of the three stooges says "they could have paid it back in rubles" the deal was dollars. And you would have had those if you hadn't invaded ukraine. So **** off. Putin's actions have consequences.
S&P downgrade indicates Russia headed for historic default

They are in full blown retreat mode. Their original plan was Kyiv in 3 days or bust. They chose bust. What they are doing now is running away back towards the breakaway area to focus around there. They most likely realize they can only make gains near the territory they already had from 2014. Now the rest of the civilized world gets to restock Ukraine...and then some.

Eh, wish it were that simple and that they were packing up to go home but I don’t think so. I think this was just the end of phase 1, which clearly didn’t go as well as planned.

The red fumes are a dead give away as to what it is. concentrated red fuming nitric acid and concentrated sulfuric acid are used to make many high explosives including TNT, PETN (common explosive found in conventional military explosives) and even gun cotton (smokeless powder for small arms ammunition). They are powerful nitrators. I would guess that is why they blew it up.

It is that simple. Phase 1 was to take Kyiv in 3 days. It failed. Now they go their back up plan which they didn't actually have and its to concentrate on the breakaway area. While they do that Ukraine's gonna get rearmed by The Good Guys.
