As I said before, I bought the kids a Nintendo Wii. Hooked it up into the tv yesterday with an HDMI converter from the red, white, and yellow AV cords. They played all day yesterday with no problems. Today we turn the Wii on and the video is fine, but there's no sound. I have a Roku Soundbar plugged into the HDMI 1 port. I switched over to it and watched tv, sound was working fine. I switched the HDMI chords and put the HDMI 1 cable into the Wii, still no sound. I unplugged the Wii and took it to the tv in the bedroom and the sound worked fine. Brought it back out to the living room, no sound. What the heck is going on? Anyone know?

More than you want to know, but understood by those who play and follow golf...

Historically I have not been a Tiger fan extraordinaire, probably because of his desire to blow himself up repeatedly on the world stage, the media fawning over him, and a surly attitude on the course much of the time. The reason his leg was blown up was due to his own callous disregard for his own life and others by driving like a maniac on a well known bad section of highway. That being said...

I have always admired his game regardless of the personal side. I have seen him remake his swing several times due to his injuries and body changes. His will to win is MJ like - none better at the sport. He literally changed golfers and the way golf is played while setting up generations of future players that have escalated the quality of the game worldwide. I have seen him mature as a man in recent years and have great respect for what has come out on the other side of it all.

There was a program on the Golf Channel not long ago about his recovery and his friendship with Justin Thomas. All I can tell you about his leg post surgeries is that it does not look human. My first impression was to question how in the world is he even walking. So what did he do besides therapy and hard work to build himself back to playing golf at a professional level again?

He remade his swing one more time. Look at the photos/videos of him in 2019 versus today. He had reduced his bulk and become much more fluid in his swing to take pressure off his fused spine and joints. Now, he's back to lifting to add bulk to his upper body and arms. All he wants from his legs is a base that can shift the weight forward at the right time. It is an upper body swing that he will fine tune over time. Nothing has changed in his mind - he knows the game inside and out, still has the feel aspect on and around the greens, and can focus on the task better than anybody.

He will never play a full schedule of events again and has said as much. But he can pick his spots, prepare, and compete at a high level as long as he rebuilds the stamina to walk that 7 miles and practice as necessary to keep the skills strong.
