Williams likely stays in the draft, think they’re 1 over projected right now but they’ll run someone off…they’re gonna be super young/transfer heavyI’m confused by Arkansas’ roster. Jon Rothstein just put out his early 2022-2023 ranking projections with projected rosters and he has Arky listed with 15 (!!!) players. Makes no sense. How is that possible?

Interesting note…Murray got in tonight and will be here through at least Saturday, which it was previously stated he would visit Tennessee/Illinois/Georgetown and announce a decision on Monday. Hard to think that timeline holds, either a visit or two is being cancelled or his decision is being delayed, have to like him spending 2-3 days in Knoxville though.
It’s quite unreal how often Arkansas keeps turning rosters almost completely over and still finding success. I’ll never doubt Musselman’s ability to make the piece fit after the job he did this year, but I think he is going to have his work cut out for him this upcoming season.
This weekend Tennessee is hosting coveted LSU transfer Brandon Murray, one of the top transfers available in the portal and a guy that the Vols’ staff has made a priority since he decided to look around. Head coach Rick Barnes along with assistants Justin Gainey and Greg Polinsky made a home visit with Murray and his family last week in Baltimore. On Friday Murray begins an official visit at Tennessee and will spend the weekend in Knoxville. Starting Wednesday night there was ample speculation that Georgetown—where former LSU assistant Kevin Nickelberry landed this week—was the team to beat. We heard some of that chatter ourselves but there was no doubt whatsoever that Tennessee was preparing to host Murray believing that they were firmly in the mix.
-VqTennessee is continuing to evaluate lots of transfers but the one other player in the portal we’re sure that Barnes has met with face to face is Indiana State transfer Tyreke Key, who is originally from Celina. The Vols are highly interested in Key but in talking to some people it feels like he and Murray are probably an ‘either/or’ situation. That’s not written in stone, and could depend on what happens elsewhere, but that’s what it feels like to us. One name that interested basketball fans should keep a very close eye on is St. Louis point guard Yuri Collins. On Wednesday Collins announced that he was testing the NBA Draft waters while maintaining his college eligibility. We’ve heard more than a few rumblings that Collins will end up transferring and that when he enters the portal Tennessee will be deeply and immediately in strong contention. Again, keep an eye on that one.

I think Powell and Mashack are the two who are the odd men out in that situationI’m not going to worry about “too much talent” till those 3 theoretically commit here. Still not sold any of it happens. However, IF we do bring in Collins, Murray, and Phillips someone on the roster is going to be upset with their playing time.
We lose two major contributors (KC, Fulky) and add in 3 guys probably all expecting major minutes on top of the return of ON.
