A tale as old as timeLaughing thinking about this gym.
Back before MMA fights/events were legal in TN, I witnessed this gym travel to SE Kentucky for fights a few times. Small Kentucky border towns in the hills/mountains. They would walk out to Rocky Top and beat the piss out of these Kentucky locals that thought they were hard. When I say they beat them, they would literally toy with them. Walk out to Rocky Top getting booed and then knock out the hometown hero or renegade in front of his family. Simply incredible.
Saw them win down in Atlanta. Saw them win at biker bars in underground events. When it was legal, saw them win locally. The guy that runs that place is an awesome dude.
That's awesome...When I was l little, my uncle Billy and his two best friends, Slick and Hambone would sit around playing guitar and banjo together. In Dueling Banjos, they would pass the banjo and guitar around while never missing a beat of the song. They were awesome, but just played for fun and family entertainment.
They are who I think about with mentioning banjos/guitars. Great memories.
BTW, even their parents called them Slick and Hambone. Still don’t know their given names.![]()
You understand that many people on here want to kill you now, LOL. Most of us could not even get tickets to the practice round if we tried and you are actually debating whether or not you want to go to the final round, LOL.Hope you enjoyed it…….might change my mind and go Sunday. Haven’t decided 100%.
