The announcers were all over that Stadium. Am I missing something? It was ok, not sure why they were drooling all over it. Kinda dumpy actually.
I was able to watch it the last 3 innings…did the announcers slobber all over Andy the entire game the way they did in the last 3 innings?? It was disgusting. If I had been able to watch the entire game, I probably would have turned it off after the 3rd or 4th, or at the very least muted it.

The catcher should not be allowed to do an inspection of our bats. If he wants an inspection, he should request it from the ump. How easy would it be to remove a sticker??

Make it like football, you are allowed 1 inspections per game. If positive, you are granted another…..if negative, you loose the right for inspection.
I disagree….. I thinks it is a great part of the game….the cardinals and Mets use to inspect each other’s bats and baseballs all the time. They shouldn’t put something on them that can just come off though…. It looks like they could have the bat companies put something on the bats stating that they are ncaa approved.

You cant really do that, bats can be tampered with after they leave the manufacturer. If umps never checked youd have corked bats left and right.

They're supposedly "tamper proof" stickers. They're not supposed to just come off.

I personally don't think they were ever put on by Vandy, and I said that last night. I think it was "gamesmanship" on behalf of Corbin. TV said multiple times, "I've never heard of stickers coming off, but somehow we managed to have 3 more bats without new stickers." And he said all the bats were inspected by Vandy on Thursday.

What would provoke the catcher to inspect the sticker after a huge hit like that? And there's been series with Vandy where Corbin, iirc, has requested multiple bat checks.

The other teams dont check the bats. It's the umpires job.

Yeah, I smell a rat. Tony said he never had anything like that happen before. And Beck said give me a wooden bat, I can hit with that too.

I gave up on baseball when they banned Rose. I can understand banning him from being around the game but the whole HoF ban was and remains nonsense, especially with respect to those they've allowed in. Once I gave up watching as a kid, it's hard to watch on tv at all. I can go to a game and enjoy it but tv baseball is no fun, imo.

It's good though for the game to have teams that bring some personality. Because to me it's tough to watch on tv. It's a slower game than most broadcast sports but a team like this you do want to cheer for.
yeah, I dont fee personally slighted, there is no emotional attachment to the sport that has any bearing on me when Rose was banned. It is a stupid rule for a great player, Charlie Hustle.

He paid his penance. Move on.

They don't come off and if one tries to take one off, part of to will remain on the bat . That is the way they can discover that the bat have been altered.

That is part of baseball…. That’s what I would do to the other teams bats as well….. I inspect them at travel ball and little league…. We should have already had a trainer(I’m sure we will now) inspecting our equipment making sure it is good to go.

Tampering with bats is not easiest thing to do….. I would just make the punishment severe enough if caught that it wouldn’t make it worth the trouble. They need a better method than placing stickers that can fall off if that is accurate.

those uniforms are muy terible.
I like and respect Vandy’s baseball program. I even like their uniforms, myself. But I realize I may be in the minority there. They have been the alpha dog in the sport for awhile. Tim Corbin is top of the notch.

But him thinking he had an ace up the sleeve with the bat sticker was pure loser mentality… lost a bit of respect for him.

Hope we wax ‘em today, 10-1 style. They deserve it.

My wife even walking through the house stopped and said Vandy unis were hideous! Lol
Then she said said wait, “is that Tennessees coach…damn!” And walked off.🤨
He is a good looking guy, and add to it, he's fun and laid back. What is extra good for recruiting, I'd think, would be not only are we highly ranked, but our team looks like they are having a good time, laughing and loose.
