The Atlanta Braves

Even if it’s a bad contract (and it probably will be) you went from a 70 win team to at best 74 win team and have a bottom 10 farm system. It’s insane.
Just dont understand what they’re doing. If they’re trying to contend then why not try and bring back Story and Gray but if they’re rebuilding why not trade them at the deadline and get something for them? Then they go out and give Bryant $180Mil lol

That organization doesn't apparently operate with much of a long-term, coherent plan. They have had trouble attracting and signing FAs there over the years. Perhaps in negotiations Bryant expressed interest in going there and they found themselves making his biggest offer, and so they sprung at the chance to seal the deal.

It's so weird they sign an expensive FA 3B just a year after they let an expensive homegrown 3B go via trade because they didn't get along. It's like they just go day-to-day doing what feels right in the moment, with no real plan.
