‘23 GA SDE Victor Burley (Clemson commit)

His supporting cast is gone I’ll be surprised if they stay where they are for long.

Dabo benefitted from Butch Jones collapse and was able to survive a few more years.I mean he was smart and surrounded himself with good coaches while also being in the ACC,but it's no secret had Butch not went and Butched up we very well could have signed Lawrence and Higgins and made our own run.Glad that's the past and we're finally in good hands.I don't think Dabo last to much longer will see

Agreed I can't get past the fact Saban was tooting his own horn last year about Bryce getting a million bucks. Now all the sudden we pay Nico and it's "We don't play that game of the highest bidder bs"..Hell I just get satisfaction outta watching other teams squirm at the thought of us returning to relevance.

don't necessarily need it if you get a good collective going. it certainly helps, don't get me wrong. but i firmly believe that for the top tier programs at the D1 level, there won't ever NOT be enough money to compete with each other.
Lost their superstar AD that really stirred the drink and held the boosters in check. Clemson is screwed.

It's about time.
AD's are very under appreciated. Danny White may have inherited some good coaches but he's doing more for athletics than any other AD in decades for us. The recent budget for renovations proves it. I just hope Duke doesn't come calling in a few years after his dad is gone.

And Tua and his entire family picked up and left Hawaii to live in that dump of a state. I wonder what their careers were?

His dad is already gone. Duke hired Nina King to replace him. But still doesn’t mean Duke wouldn’t call for him on down the road.

We need to sign Danny to a very very long contract and make him the highest paid AD with a clause in the contract that he will always be the highest paid AD, as long as his results continue to justify it. He has by far been the best hire this university has made for any position in decades based on the early results! We truly hit a grand slam when we landed him. We need to keep him for 20 to 30 years.

Why would a really good AD want to leave Tennessee and go to Duke? Seems weird that that would even come to someone's mind. It's an ACC school vs all SEC schools and any SEC school, including Vanderbilt, has more $$$ for their athletic budget than Duke.

Yeah and he seems to be a guy who can put his ego aside and do what’s best for the program and players. I feel like that’s been a rare trait in every one of our ADs going back to Hamilton.
