Bad matchup is 1 way to make a loss feel better.
Another way to look at it: we were a #3 that should of been a#2 and bad matchup or not , should be able to beat a #11

True but I believe UM was a horrible matchup for us regardless of how we were shooting. Even on a good shooting day that's a game that's going to be tough. We hadn't faced a team that physical all year.

Off topic but phone peeps which iphone should I look at for upgrades? Verizon is switching to 5g and I think only the iphone 12 and above have it. Does the newer SE have 5g?

Funny I wonder if any of the teams that Arkansas or St Peters beat were a “horrible matchup?” Why do some continue to make excuses for Barnes failing yet again in the tourney?

Michigan was not the better team than we were. They were a 14 loss team. They were 7th in the B10. We should not have lost to them.

Imo…. It wasn’t even the poor shooting night… it was not being able to defend their screening action up too…. We never adjusted.

..we only lost because we went 2-18. All that other means zilch if you just hit a FEW more shots. We had a great defense, but sometimes the other team is REALLY good at something too. They were really good at that, and I give them credit for it, our team was not easy to score on this year.

Us going 2-18 had almost nothing to do with them. They did well and contested a few of those shots, but a ton of them were really good looks tbat should have been knocked down.

I gotta admit something - I still think flip phones are the bees knees. I'm glad that motorola came out with the new ones. If I wasn't in a closed environment with iOS those would be soo tempting.

It was a bad matchup personell and style wise, but we still win with just a mediocre 3pt game.

I agree. And I think we win that game 9 out of 10 times. BUT I think they're tough wins each time. Michigan was a talented team that underperformed. The expectations for them in the preseason were higher than folks had for us because they are/were loaded talent wise and have a really good coach. UNC is showing everyone what a talented team that underperformed in the regular can do in March under the right circumstances.

That 11 seed was a preseason 6 in the nation with deep tourney history. It was one of the worst matchups we could draw.

I just ignore stupidity. There are several postets that I vehemently disagree with about some things, and yet I don't ignore them...but I don't deal with stupid trolls.
