War in Ukraine

It was a big thing and received substantial national coverage. I wonder if the critters are thriving now

Haha Edit..

"The snail darter is a federally protected species and is listed as threatened under the Endangered Species Act of 1973 as a result of habitat destruction from the completion of the Tellico Dam"

So FDR was responsible. ie past government
I think I was in college.

I grew up in LC and I remember after the creation of Tellico Lake, the trout fishing at night was insane. My dad made me and my 2 brothers go midnight trout fishing to up the " boat" limit.

I grew up in Knoxville and indeed was at UT in ‘73. My younger brother still lives there. He’s done more trout fishing than me.

Sure it is. You just see the quandary it leaves you in and it's easier to deny it than change your views.

No, its not. The Left had a plethora of FM and AM stations to run their version of Rush/Hannity/Boortz whatever it was back in the 90s. As a matter of fact they tried it and it bombed.

The phone line example Ras gave is a much better example. Twitter/FB/Youtube dominate the social media marketplace and as such they are the digital town square.

I get the appeal to leftists. They cant win the debate, but they now have the power to censor.

Nobody in The East wants to talk to anyone from The West for some reason...

Rift over Ukraine exposed as high-powered UK delegation to India called off

The 10-strong delegation has been in discussion with India since January and was planning to visit Delhi and Rajasthan, but the Indian high commission is understood to have raised objections at the last minute.

Boris Johnson spoke with Indian prime minister, Narendra Modi, on Tuesday in an attempt to use his influence to persuade India to take a more robust position over the Russian invasion. India has not imposed sanctions or even condemned Russia, its biggest supplier of military hardware.

Yes, it is.
Just as the left tried and failed (for good reason) to have liberal talk radio. the right tried and failed (for good reason) to have popular social media platforms.

I get the whining of the right wingers. They can't compete on a large scale so they cry about things being unfair.
I think that's what you guys liked to call snowflakes.

JFC that moron Biden keeps running his idiot mouth and he’s gonna cause WWIII. Putin has the only sound bite he will ever need going forward and no amount of moron-slpaining can walk it back.
Every leader in the free world needs to be saying the same damn thing. If there is a WWIII it will be because of Putin. He has to go and who better to say it than the President of the United States.

The competition of ideas? No, that isnt the competition which you talk of. Snowflake is the one who hides behind the skirt of censorship.

We were there at UT at the same time. It was my second time around - after I quit and joined the Army in 1967. If you were Chem Engr, we might have passed on the street; the Nuc Engr building was just down the street, and our metallurgy classes were in the Chem E building.
