Those old backboards were a sneeze away from breaking. I don't know what was wrong with them but they broke a ton in the 80s and early 90s. After that I don't remember any breaking although I'm some did. What are the odds of backboards being so breakable in an era in which the NBA was really emphasizing dunks?

It was. First was buttchugger. 2nd was Jewish frat getting tied off, multiple times. Then UT decided to try and become like Vandy-lite or at least a UNC. It's become sterilized. Probably for the better. The idea of college as a 20k/year party playland is...well...odd...and probably not the original intent 🤣

Used to have a buddy in Knoxville that was a pretty well known local radio dj, rapper, and event dj (think he did some UT work). He'd travel up to JMU with a few others and put on campus shows a couple times a year. Seemed like a pretty wild school, moreso than UT at least.

Also surpised Alabama is that high.

Jmo but I'd guess a lot of beach colleges...the beach gives every person an excuse to party just a bit...Tuscaloosa...not so much. Maybe they just have to drown their sorrows.

Would you want to remember being in Tuscaloosa? Not to mention, alcohol can make the unattractive look attractive. One tooth can become many teeth when you're seeing double or triple.

Gotta be honest, this is the first time I have watched the Lady Vols this season and wow. We couldn't find a better PG than Walker ? They just don't look good and can not handle pressure at all. Can't shoot, turn it over, bad guard play if im being honest.

First one I tried to watch also. I really believe there are some good middle school boys teams that could beat them.
