War in Ukraine

lol.......The trump fiasco set the non-establishment movement back immeasurably.
The irony is, Trump being as horrible as he is ultimately strengthened the establishment.

The last non establishment movement was Ross Perot and we all know what happened to him. There isn’t going to be another that comes from the outside so keep voting for who you’re told to vote for and be a good little lemming thinking your team won.

No their choices aren’t. As much as you would love to believe, Biden is infinitely worse than Trump could ever have thought. I really didn’t think he was going to be this bad. I know you cannot get past your Trump hate but Luther Biden/Harris makes Trump/Pence look like rockstars. That’s sad.

I mean you have a racist geriatric who has difficulty stringing sentences together along win a woman who clearly has shown she might be more ignorant than AOC.
Simply disagree.
I would much prefer to have Biden/Harris than Trump/Pence.

TN is the perfect example. Everyone outside of Shelby, Davidson, Knox, and Hamilton hates the fact that those counties determine the outcome of every statewide election. They would love to change the one person one equal vote system.

But they don’t. If it were up to those counties TN would be blue.

Lol. Like the Democratic establishment has done any better? They are both trash. Like every other election, we will have two choices in 2024. A douche or a turd. That’s the best our glorious two party system can come up with.

You are on your way to recovery when you recognize the parties don't select candidates or set platforms for you or me. Trump was an anomaly, and you can bet both parties are working harder to make sure that an outsider never slips past them again. The dems have it under control - Hiliary and Joe were put in place by the dem machine; it was rigged. The GOP has learned to copy, but it will be a few more years before they become as slick as the dems.

Ron Paul?

Any reason they shouldn't feel that way? Why should four counties decide a state when those four counties don't even represent what the rest of the state is or stands for? Might (simple majority) makes right?

So 3 or 4 large population groups do not outweigh the wishes of the others? One person, one vote can still work even when there are large high density population voting blocks? Go figure.

Just like you prefer UT to win over the Gumps. That’s your team.
It boils down to how and why you pick your team. I picked UT because I was born and raised in TN. I picked Biden/Harris because they best move the country in the desired direction.
But yea, everyone roots for the team they pick.

TN is nowhere near as politically diverse as the US.

I don’t when it comes to politics.

Do you not believe in one person one vote - weighted equally?
If not, whose vote should be weighted more heavily and why?

never got close to what Perot did

I agree, but the only reason Perot did is because he spent tons of his own money for primetime tv specials. Ron Paul Revolution is the closest outsider campaign since Perot and probably helped Trump in some respects win 2016.

In terms of voting and urban rule Tennessee isn't Georgia, yet. And nobody knew until the last time around Georgia was New York ... allegedly. You do understand the concept that when options are taken away people tend to get angry, and there's a lot of people between the four metropolitan areas in Tennessee? Those people are more self reliant than city dwellers; best not to trivialize them. Remember a couple of slogans: "No taxation without representation" and "Don't tread on me"?
