Same argument we've had a hundred times.
Every state has a situation where a few high population counties can override the will of the majority of counties.
Every county has a situation where a few high population towns can override the will of the majority of towns.
People vote, not square miles.......except for the big mistake.
The founding fathers screwed up on that forced compromise.

The founding fathers were geniuses in setting up the EC and only having house members directly elected. That’s the only reason our country has survived as long as it has in spite of the 17th amendment.

States could set up their own EC as long as they aren’t racially discriminatory like when GA tried a similar system.

The supreme court has struck down every attempt.

You know the small counties hate being so overshadowed by the metropolitan areas. They are dying for the square mile vote.

For the establishment you are absolutely correct, feed the lemmings their candidates and pretend there’s a difference between them. For us citizens it sucks because it won’t be long before we’re subjects instead of citizens.

The irony is, Trump being as horrible as he is ultimately strengthened the establishment.

TN is the perfect example. Everyone outside of Shelby, Davidson, Knox, and Hamilton hates the fact that those counties determine the outcome of every statewide election. They would love to change the one person one equal vote system.

I really hope you are wrong about that; we need outsiders in DC. Unfortunately the parties will probably do as you say and do all within their power to prevent another outsider. It's a shame, too; Trump is an ass and unlikeable, but he still did more positive stuff than the past four or so clowns.

As horrible as that is, there choices are far superior than Trump.
A non-establishment candidate who was not horrendously despicable could have done wonders.

No their choices aren’t. As much as you would love to believe, Biden is infinitely worse than Trump could ever have thought. I really didn’t think he was going to be this bad. I know you cannot get past your Trump hate but Luther Biden/Harris makes Trump/Pence look like rockstars. That’s sad.

I mean you have a racist geriatric who has difficulty stringing sentences together along win a woman who clearly has shown she might be more ignorant than AOC.
