Spring Practice #2

He rightfully gets heat for running out of bounds in the Ole miss game. But there was a play just before that where he nearly threaded a needle into a crazy tight window that only a handful of qbs can do.

Talent is there. Just needs to be able to give easy catches to open receivers and not let his adrenaline be directly connected to his arm movement.
Athletic ability has always been there. Skill level isn’t a strong point though. The kid has very little touch. He’s out there throwing fastball darts.

I literally can not wait till Milton is no longer on the team .

You're a brave dude for posting this. I agree with you BTW. He struggled at Michigan, and he looked bad here. If it hasn't happened by now.....

Say what you want about Milton but like others mentioned I'm glad he is here and we have a veteran backup. I would be scared to death to think we a play away from a true freshman taking the reins if he wasn't. Tayven needs this RS more than the coaches would ever admit. Hopefully we only see Milton for mop up duty ...

Milton starter next year?
Before we got Nico. I said if CJH and staff could turn the bulb on for Milton he could wind up being the starter in '23 with Jackson taking over in '24 but with Nico now added to the mix for next year who knows. I'd be shocked to see a true freshman start game 1 but there could be a battle for QB2. I personally look forward to the QB battle for both spots...

I'm calling it now...Hooker is QB1 this year, Milton only plays in EXTREME need (i.e. heaven forbid Hooker gets hurt), Jackson is QB2 and gets any game time experience. In 2023 it's Jackson as QB1, Nico as QB2.
In 2024 things get REALLY interesting unless Heupel can convince Jackson and Nico to stick around...we might put up numbers never before seen.

I very seriously doubt Jackson is going to be QB2 this year but yeah 2024 is going to interesting for sure, heck even next year could be a battle.

He wont take a hit and I think he overthrows because he is uncomfortable in the pocket, considering this was his second chance coming from Michigan I just dont think he has the guts for it, you dont get a second chance in a sport like this often and if you do you do everything in your power to excel, he and Hooker are were in similar situations, Hooker wanted it and Miltion doesnt. He should take up baseball.

I know there are a ton of injuries in the secondary, but it seems like the coaching staff is trying hard to get McDonald and Charles on the field. Really excited about their potential. I haven’t been impressed with Tank or Trevon Flowers, I hope one of them can find a home at the star position.
