Man...Arizona got bailed the F out by the zebras.
End of the game about 12 seconds left refs "let em play" and an Arizona player bodied a TCU guy 50 feet from the basket to prevent him from driving to try and get a shot up. Ended in a steal that almost lead to Arizona winning in regulation.
I mean I think it's mostly gross incompetence, but how has officiating in the NCAA gotten so bad? So bad that it legit feels like corruption at times.
Once again the NCAA has found a way to take something that is literally a layup in terms of ease of enjoyment & made it so horribly complicated and disjointed that it lacks fun. March Madness is still relatively cool, but, the implementation of and handoff from such a fun season and inevitable conference tourney took a lot of luster off. Its anti climactic.Man...Arizona got bailed the F out by the zebras.

I was asleep when this happened but saw it on Twitter this morning…. The first video that I saw you couldn’t tell a foul had occurred…. I teach my daughter to play defense that way…. Use your body and hold your hands up and you can get away with alot…. From the video I saw…. It looked like both officials were running up the sideline toward the play which left them out of position to make the call…. I don’t know for sure exactly they are supposed to be positioned but they weren’t in position to make the call.Man...Arizona got bailed the F out by the zebras.

I agreeTherein lies part of the problem. The most well known officials work a lot of games and depending on age, it can take a toll. Being out of position is either physical, or the training is lacking. The players should always be between all 3 officials unless there is a break away, and then they have to get running like the players. Football is having this problem, too. There are a bunch of calls being made by officials out of position or the wrong official to make it.
I believe some of it is getting to be age, too. Some of these guys have to be in their 60’s. Tony Greene and Teddy V are about 62. While they are in good shape, other problems exist. I am 42 and can’t keep up with these guys.
Then, you just have natural bias that the conference let’s go for their good. Every human being has an innate bias and when you let LSU fans officiate their games in basketball and Hoover High grads officiate Bama games in football, it is inevitable for controversy to happen.
Many might not care but UT golf just landed one of the best amateurs under 18 in the WORLD. Just one of the many programs on campus rolling right now.
