It would be nice if Powell would remember how to shoot...that is just a weird deal.

Went away from his normal rotation and did not adjust to what Michigan was doing. You can blame the bad shooting night all you want. That certainly played a big part in the loss. But if you think Barnes deserves no criticism for how bad this team played then you are just being dumb.

And if this type of thing was a one off, an anomaly, then you would be correct. But this is a running problem with Barnes that has existed since his time at Texas. He just isn’t a good post season coach. It’s that simple.

Well that’s a given. We have players leave every year. I was more just mentioning meaningful players

We’ll have a good chance to land Phillips

It’s hard to get in a groove shooting 3’s if you’re only getting 4 minutes a game

He had a few games early in the season where he hit multiple 3’s. Then he stopped playing cuz his defense. He still shot 38%

Like I said earlier, it'd be nice if KC decided to stay and we landed Phillips. I know KC staying isn't likely to happen, but if he did, that team would be so damn good.

I understand, but it seems like I haven't seen him hit a shot in months. He could be a weapon, especially in games like yesterday when they went zone and nobody else could sink a shot and make them pay.

Don’t sleep on Edwards. I don’t think he’s as good as Chandler, but a sophomore Z and Edwards combination might be close enough.

Indeed. It would be amazing. That team would be ELITE. Preseason top in the polls no doubt

I don’t think it’s likely obviously but I also wouldn’t be surprised. I just feel like when a team is as close as this team is they’re more likely to stick together. Not to mention we can get him a big NIL deal

Yea it’s been a while. I wouldn’t be surprised if he transfers out if Vescovi comes back. Just too far down the pecking order. He can 100% get quality minutes somewhere else

Is brock jancek on scholarship? He is in senior. Then we have a couple more that are getting recruited over that will never play. I don’t see Rick telling them to pack up but it would be nice if they moved down a level.

Not on scholarship. Tuition free because of his dad.

He’s a walk-on. The ones that I could see moving on to create space are Bailey and Powell. We need someone to leave anyway, but I suspect KC goes pro.

I don't think we'll see that with this team like we did last year (Pember, Gaines, Walker & EJ).

You'll have a good balance of upper classmen

SRs: Santi, JJJ, Uros, Olivier (unless he gets a medical RS)
JRs: Powell
SOs: ZZ, Q, Mashack, BHH, Aidoo
FRs: BJ Edwards (incoming), Tamba (RS)

If KC returns I'd say the scholarship that opens up is Bailey's...he technically can return next season BUT I don't know that he will. I think he'll likely move on, and either step down in competition to get more PT somewhere else as a grad transfer or try his hand at getting a shot professionally.

If KC & Bailey are both gone we'll likely fill that 2nd spot with a transfer who has 2 or more seasons left.

Yea looking back at it Michigan wasn’t a good matchup. I truly thought we’d cruise to a win when I first saw them. But then I saw they’re one of the best teams in the country at preventing assists and pretty good at locking down your top shooter, and if we aren’t assisting we aren’t scoring. When I saw that I got nervous and I knew we didn’t have anyone that could handle Dickinson

I wouldn’t be surprised to see Santi and JJJ test the waters. There was talks of Santi going over seas last year. JJJ has an NBA body and really improved this year
