Several people were asking about Julian Phillips, LSU decommit the other day.

I said initially that I was certain Tennessee would reach out.

Having talked to a few people today I anticipate that Tennessee is going to be a major factor with Phillips.

Bottom line, as fans, did you love this team this year? Absolutely. But we have some who will never love anything good related to UT. It makes you wonder. Did they entertain you? The same group was only entertained when things weren't going well. Bring you some happiness? Never happen for them. Were you proud as Vol fans to be represented by these young men? I was. That would mean losing Bailey and one more to make the numbers work, tho. Hopefully JJJ and Vescovi come back. But a front court with ORN, Hatfield, Aidoo, Phillips, and even Uros... That'd be pretty nice. Just got to keep those big guys developing. I was impressed with the progress of our bigs this year.

The argument that Barnes is not a tournament coach is somewhat refuted by us winning three games in three days to win the conference tournament.

But now they've moved the goal post and it's become NCAA tournament.

The odd thing about Barnes is that, from roughly 2002-2008 he was considered a great NCAA tournament coach, going to the Sweet 16 and beyond 5 out of 7 seasons, with one FF and two EE’s. Then starting with the 2008-2009 season we get the long 1 in 10 stat we keep seeing. Not sure what changed.

It's being less than honest for people, even fans, to post and repeat selective stats, leaving out those that present a different story. .

I just dont think he has it to play at this level, or at least the offense we ran this year. Next season without KC if we go back to the inside out game Powell could be much better, but hes a stand still spot up shooter, he cant create off the dribble to save his life.

Don’t know if anyone has heard anything. First I’ve seen of any “rumors” around Barnes. Very much hoping it isn’t true.

He made a comment in his post-game that got my attention. Something to the affect, "this school deserves a chance to have more success...it's been a blessing for me to coach here."

I was listening to usce pregame on Friday and they were talking about our gaudy numbers, especially on offense. They didn't come right out and say it, but they implied we weren't as good offensively as it looks because of who we've played. They said they've played a much tougher schedule, so...

Now they know.

I dunno how you all can stomach watching the tourney still after UT gets bounced. I never could. . But I'll pull for either St. Peter's or Michigan to win it all.
