Always have and always will think those who refuse to acknowledge his short comings are. You can think hes a great coach and still admit his faults.
Yes, but you don't have to call them nuthuggers if you don't agree with their level of criticism. You can disagree and not resort to bad names in the same way.

If we don't make it out of the super regional, you will definitely hear it. People will start posting about how they wish he had gone to LSU.
Now that may be accurate. He doesn’t have an extensive coaching history so the Barnes comparison wouldn’t hold up much water. Already made it to one Omaha so in theory he’ll be saved from pitchfork crowd for a few seasons…

Still upset about Basketvols. This one hurts worse then any sports loss in a long time for me. As for Freddie Freeman-- he went to the Dodgers. I understand going to the money or whatever, but it seems like a betrayal to leave for one of your beloved former teams biggest rivals. Just meh.

I understand your sentiment, but he and his wife are from California….that’s where their home is. Kinda makes sense to end your career there.

Yes it stinks but I think, in the long term, the Braves have made the best decision.

Luck helps, but most of the time luck is a byproduct of recruiting the right talent and putting the right pieces in the best position to succeed, then making the adjustments needed to win when things aren't going your way. This UT team was prone to go through shooting droughts. If you can't pull out of a stall, you go down. That was the vulnerability of this team. Michigan wasn't going to stop what was working for them when it wasn't being called, and UT couldn't adjust and counter.

Vols had a good run. They'll hang a banner, and that hasn't been done in a while. But the NCAAT woes continue. The Vols ran into an equally hot team that had a plan to beat them and got a little help. But UT could have-- should have-- won the game. You have to wonder how much of it's mental. When those first weekend stats get in your head and the other team is confident they're going to beat you because that's the track record, then they've taken the edge. I don't think that's bad luck. It's not random. It's a pattern to overcome.

I still think Michigan, from a match up Sandpoint, was very unique in terms of what types of teams we've been playing in conf.

While we've played bigs, good ones, we didn't see anyone like Dickinson and certainly didn't play anyone that defended life Michigan did.

I think it just turns out...they were a bad match up for us.

Speaking of the baseVols, talked briefly with a pro scout friday who told me he has seen all but 1 SEC team play at least once so far this season and he said that the VOLS are the most complete team in the SEC this year and thinks they will be a force come tournament time, especially when their pitching gets healthy.

There’s no question we carry our history into that tournament. Whether it’s when we get seeded, the officials, our own team’s confidence, or confidence of other teams against us. Over the decades it has just sort of snowballed into a self-fulfilling prophecy.

But here’s the good news: we carried the same kind of history into our conference tournament, and we finally got over that hill. So at least there’s hope.

Okay Yellowstone fanatics. I signed up for paramount+ thinking it was on there but it isn't. Two questions.

1. Best place to watch yellowstone?
2. Should I just watch 1883 first since it is on paramount+ or will I miss nods to the original show and not appreciate it as much as I should.

As far as which one first, don’t think it matters. They can both be standalone series.
My wife watched Yellowstone first.
I am watching 1883 first. Mainly because I am a fan of Westerns.

You can easily watch 1883 without ever having seen Yellowstone, it stands alone. 1883 is a gritty well written western, Yellowstone is kind of a soapy Dallas reboot. They are both good but not much alike.

Yeah I have zero interest in Yellowstone. I watched all of 1883. There was both good and bad but overall I enjoyed it.

Maybe we should do that team bonding crap UGA football did.
