Im not sure if its the same stretch youre thinking of, but theres one point that Howard called a TO, and then right after got another break with the TV timeout. That was really smart from him to steal and extra break back to back.

Yeah probably was in that stretch. He used his TOs well, and sadly that’s an area where Barnes doesn’t.

Sometimes I feel like he lets the team go too long without taking them. Even when we’re executing, playing as hard as we do on D ya gotta help keep your legs.

Honestly, that’s why I thought we were fixing to break through. And it really isn’t just Barnes. No Tennessee coach has been able to.

Always have and always will think those who refuse to acknowledge his short comings are. You can think hes a great coach and still admit his faults.

It’s the hardest championship to win in sports.

I mean Cal gets paid almost double, he’s out after the first round and won no SEC title.

He won a Natty almost a decade ago, and has made some FFs, but both times he did that before Kentucky those seasons got adjusted. He hasn’t stopped cheating, he just went somewhere willing to help hide it.

And even with all that money & bending rules he’s won just one title. Same as Pitino & Tubby.

While I am very disappointed in the outcome of yesterday's game, I refuse to hang my head and be disappointed about the season. It was a fantastic basketball season and winning the SEC tournament was very sweet and memorable. I love these players and if some of them move on to continue their careers at the next level, I wish them all of the very best. How can you not love our coach, our team, these great kids who gave their all for our university? I love this team and am very proud that they played for the Big Orange!!

Agree, I said it already but I am only disappointed I don’t get to watch this team play anymore.

Be nice to see everyone return except the seniors (Bailey & Fulky) and have a shot at a deep run next year with KC, ZZ, BHH, Aidoo all back with more development and JJJ, Santi, Uros, & ORN as seasoned seniors leading the team.

The L is on everybody. Could have been coached better and we could have shot better. I personally think we lost because we allowed them to hit 50% of their shots. Our shots did not fall and theirs did. Some of that tells me that they played defense better than we did.

I'm not a Barnes hater, but it's absolutely the coach's job to get them out of a shooting rut with some plays that result in higher percentage shots. No coach just sits back and says "oh well shots aren't falling there's nothing I can change."

I thought we had a good season and just got beat in the tournament. These younger fans would have loved DeVoe......how could Ernie and Bernie not win it all or get out of the second round !!!! That's just life as a Vol I guess.

Yes. My guess is theyre assigned regionally based on where they worked during the season. We got B10 refs because we were sent to Indiana.
Another thing being under seeded screwed us with.

While I do not believe they intentionally made bad calls against us, there is some built in bias in that Michigan has probably seen them and knows how they call the game and since they are familiar with Michigan, I think it causes some built in bias, for sure.

These younger fans should have had to experience Wade Houston. It doesn't get worse than Wade. Even if he did give us Allan.
