FFS, some people are never satisfied. I wish all you negas would stfu and realize that as disappointing as tonight was, this team was still great. No, you'd rather point fingers and bitch. No one wants to hear you anymore.
Insane how people can’t differentiate between being disappointed in losing to a 14 loss Michigan team and being total NegaVols. What a weird way to view the world.

Yeah credit Michigan . I was completely wrong about how we matched up against each other. Their defense was maybe the best we've faced all year...especially on the perimeter.

Their number 10 disrupted Vescovi. He also got away with murder. Very good on defense but should've been called on some of the stuff he was doing.

Yup . I don't feel like we 'lost' it or gave it away. Michigan beat us. I can live with that.
I don't disagree, but I also believe Michigan was allowed to play more physical than we were. It's not all on the refs. We shot ourselves in the foot plenty. But under the basket, they could mug us with no call where we got called just for sneezing on them.

I never get it…Not like it helps anything, based on history and % you’re far more likely to correctly predict TN not having a deep tournament run.

So after a loss, coming out to basically rub people’s faces in it does what? Are you a fan of the team or not? Barnes is a good coach, not many better ones to hire to replace him. I mean Baylor lost today, Kentucky lost, Iowa lost, in a one game elimination all it takes is a bad night shooting and you’re out.

But I actually felt like we overachieved this year. So I’m only disappointed I don’t get to see these guys play anymore.

Being disappointed is natural. Insane is acting like Rick Barnes is a horrible coach and needs to be replaced. Two different concepts. You can be disappointed while not bitching about Coach Barnes or our players.

538 broke this down 4 years ago, ranking all 559 NCAA coaches on a “Wins above expected” metric. Here’s what they found:

Yeah there were several calls I,uh, disagreed with...for sure. Two on Vescovi were terrible.

Conversely I don't think we got the same bending of the doubt when we had the ball.

But overall I don't think the refs were really a factor,in regards to the final result.I'm sure Michigan fans could find some calls they didn't like too.

Michigan just beat us.they made plays.we didn't.

The chances of a bad regular season team making an Elite Eight or better run in the tourney are basically zero. I’d definitely rather have a Rick Barnes team that maybe (according to The Narrative) has no chance in March but wins the SEC than an 11-seed type program that has a theoretical chance at a Cinderella run.

I'm not for fahring Barnes. Never. Coach until retirement. Quality man and coach. His Achilles heel is The Dance - the worst possible time to shrink from the spotlight.

C'mon folks. The L was not due to bad luck as is it's UT's lot to be lovable losers when it matters. It was due to guys not performing at previous levels and the HC missing his match-up issues as well as the scoring opportunities much of the game. He had to know the game would be called the way it was because many of us knew. So you adjust your rotations and change the tempo on both ends of the floor. He didn't. He did exactly the same things he has been doing much of the season including going small with only one big in the game for way too many ineffective minutes, UM was more physical and outfought our small line-up in the lane.

They played 7 guys after their PG went down for the game in the first half. That should tell us something. Keep the rotation that is doing the best in the game longer. They played short bench, so should we since we were not hitting threes or out-rebounding them. Where did our guys score their points to be leading at half time? Inside to mid-range. Who was doing the damage in that rotation? Why go small when you cannot make a three and your opponent has pushed their D out to stop it. This isn't as hard as it is being made out to be. It's just too late to do anything about it.
