Curious. I know football, not basketball x's and o's. How did he get out coached? I saw michigan hit their shots and tennessee didn't. That's not coaching to me but again I'm not a basketball guy.

He went away from his normal rotation. Aidoo and BHH should have played much more. BHH made a mistake, went to the bench and never went back in. If you see your team not hitting shots, it’s up to the coach to scheme a way for them to get better shots. Yes it was a bad shooting night, but had Barnes made some better decisions, this game could have went a different way.

I am thankful Fulk gave his all for Tennessee. But it is time to move on from marginal players getting that many minutes in the rotation. There was no way he should have been man defending Dickinson. That's on Barnes and staff. Hatfield and Aidoo did not play near enough minutes. They were needed for multiple reasons including D, shot blocking, rebounding and occasional outlets for baskets.

Williams killed them on the back side in the second half and nobody even challenged Brooks on the mid-range jumpers. Pull Vescovi and insert Hafield. didn't happen.

2-18 from three. smh. What an inopportune time for Vescovi to crap the bed on both ends of the floor and Barnes to not change up his subbing to counter UM.

If they all come back, better days ahead as they will not need CRB to be a better coach in the tournament with the talent. He is who he is apparently. This was his chance to remove the tourney failure yoke from his neck and he didn't. .

It kills my people can’t recognize how big of a mistake it was to not playing Aidoo and Hatfield more.
I truly believe it would of made the difference between us winning and losing. Hardest thing to do is shoot over length, it is what killed us and should killed their big , by being defended by aidoo.

Pull Santi for Hatfield? I’ve read some dumb takes on here but that jumps straight to the top 5.

The best coach VOLS ever had. (At least in a long long time)

He's probably better than Mears but Mears was cut short just when he was reaching his prime. He's our great coaching 'would've been.' At least, that's what I've read and been told from people that know basketball better than most of us.

Our guys hit 2 total 3s. Our issue wasn't coaching. People are just mad, trolling, or both.

How far is their campus from Indy? Better yet, how is there fanbase's influence there as opposed to ours? Would any of those games be different if they'd been played in say, Atlanta? College basketball is quirky af so as much as I love March Madness, I don't put a ton of stock in tourney losses or wins as a gauge. We've had a really good men's program for the past 20 years but seeding and the subsequent where/who you play is 75 percent of March. The other 25 percent is luck and talent and tbh, luck matters even more than talent. I'd like to see us overcome the barrier we've hit there but there are things beyond our control that are in play too.
Good post.

Watched the game at a friend's house. I'm gutted atm. Kept hoping we would pull it out.

My take on the game. I think the refs were afraid Juwan Howard would smack them. Michigan's big white guy killed us. Michigan made a point of taking Vescovi out of the game and pretty much succeeded. We tried (and missed) too many treys.

I really don't like their big white guy.

Ultimately, I blame this loss on @UTSuave’ for bring his bad Dodger juju to the board. Freak should ban all Dodger fans. They're all perverts anyway, who touch themselves in public while thinking about marsupials. Koalas, kangaroos, wombats, even possums. Pure sickos.

Man, if you’re gonna be a Vol fan you better be able to deal with disappointment. Feel bad for my kid, kinda wishing he wasn’t all Vol but it is what it is lol. Maybe next year, right? Looking forward to baseball.
