I quit watching with 10 minutes left. But I saw missed open shots.
Gee, if you tend to get wound up watching UT sports, do what I do-----record the games and then look at the score when the game is over----if we win, watch the game and if we lose, delete the game. It will do wonders for your health :cool::cool::cool:

Bruce Pearl, Cuonzo Martin, Rick Barnes. It makes no difference. Can’t get past Michigan or the Big Ten. Losses in the most important moments.

How far is their campus from Indy? Better yet, how is there fanbase's influence there as opposed to ours? Would any of those games be different if they'd been played in say, Atlanta? College basketball is quirky af so as much as I love March Madness, I don't put a ton of stock in tourney losses or wins as a gauge. We've had a really good men's program for the past 20 years but seeding and the subsequent where/who you play is 75 percent of March. The other 25 percent is luck and talent and tbh, luck matters even more than talent. I'd like to see us overcome the barrier we've hit there but there are things beyond our control that are in play too.

I can’t get over vescovi getting only 5 points that killed us…he killed us last year in the tournament too. He has got to get better in tournament time we can’t afford him to go cold
I'm not an expert on basketball-- but it seems like there was a lot of focus on guarding him. Could be why he wasn't playing as well.

Too bad, but the tournament is a total crap shoot. Love Barnes and love the Vols. They at least grabbed one tournament banner to hang.

We will be back next year… unless we go nuts, fire Barnes and kickstart another decade of mediocrity and cycling through coaches

I don't understand why people don't understand this. It's always been this way. The only thing different is that we've actually gotten to attend on a more regular basis for the past 15 or so years. Luck and seeding are absolutely crucial to winning the tourney. Everyone involved in basketball knows this but no one tinkers with it because it's so much fun.

Put it another way, who here is willing to mess with a billion dollar formula to make the tournament more equitable for some team you don't care about?
