I am not a Braves fan, but you need to take a lap for talking smack to the the current World Series champs.

It’s a shame we don’t have enough dodger fans in here 😂 wanna join? It’s literally Cubs, cardinals,Braves and Reds fan’s in here the Yankees are kinda spotty but the next World Series they reach.we will be overwhelmed

Dude!..Freddie is considered in his “prime” he’s a first baseman do you know how long a first baseman can play in the Majors? Big poppy,Jason giambi and Albert Pujols (etc)..you’re acting like he’s a catcher 😂😂😂 you literally damn near gave Olsen the same contract that Freddie wanted (slap in the face)…Freddie wanted to retire as a brave that’s why he wanted the 6 years.he wanted to go out like chipper with the team who drafted him.how can you fault him for that?…is Olsen the same guy that absolutely got dusted in the Home Run Durby last year?..😂😂 “Bombs” you say.the shift is gone in the MLB and Freddie is a better ball placement RBI hitter than Olsen with more power.
Freeman is in his prime now. Not 6 years from now. Olson got a similar contract, but he's 5 years younger than Freeman.

200 plus million dollars negates the needs for commercials. Plus he hasn’t been arrested nor found guilty of any crimes. The highest court in Texas didn’t pursue charges. Accusations don’t mean guilt.

Man 22 random massage therapist dont accuse one man of something like that unless theres some basis to the claim.Do I think dude molested all those women probably not but is there some truth to what their accusing him of absolutely.Jmo tho everyone's entitled to their own but I personally wouldnt bet the future on him.

LMAO, if he wanted to be here he would be. The Atlanta contract wouldve paid him more, him and his agent played chicken and lost. And no 33 is not prime for a first baseman. Olson is 28 5 years younger than Freddie thats in his prime. You pointed out Pujols who is just ass. Its been 6 years since Pujols has had a good season he was 3 years older than where Freddie is right now, thats 3 years of an albatross of a contract on the payroll.
Miggy, Upton, Pujols, Chris Davis (who was younger than Freddie). Paying guys big money at Freddie's age is a huge risk, Atlanta has a young core in Acuna, Albies, Riley, Swanson, Freddie doesnt fit the long term plans if you want to win another world series.
I get it Freddie is a fan favorite and youre emotional, but AA did exactly what he needed to do he made a wise business decision for the health and future of the franchise.

Name a time Freddie has ever been hurt👀 or sat out👀 Swanson won’t be around much longer bet on it.Braves will mess that up as well.

@JacketVol love you buddy but you’re lost in the sauce..he’s had one relevant season in his whole career and that was last year…he’s averaged a 254. Batting avg his entire career that’s sub par compared to other players at his position and depending on who you ask they would hesitate to even give him props of being a star.Freddie is an All-star first baseman no matter how you look at it..you can’t replace that.2 years ago he almost single handedly beat the Dodgers because he was the only spark in the lineup..you all will miss him being on the roster trust me…this isn’t a Dodger homer response either.just from one baseball fanatic to another.💙🤍 Seager is also injury prone.Stays hurt and isn’t worth the money got.
It’s 100% Dodger homer narrative. Braves were up 3-1 two seasons ago and blew it. So if he “single handedly” put them in that position, what percentage of the COLLAPSE would you put on him? I wanted him re-signed like most all Braves fans and would have given him the six years. But at my most optimistic, all I anticipated as prime production of ALL STAR FIRST BASEMAN was the first two seasons. Then you guys are Bellingering around for a succession plan and getting him more AB’s at DH. Our guy (who’s had multiple All-Star nods and is a Gold Glove mainstay) will be 30 at that point. You have a great player who we appreciated. Don’t get worked up trying to sell an educated fan base gloom and doom on his replacement. Waste of your homer man hours.

...so he is or is not an All Star?

“With the first phase of fan voting set to close at 12:59 p.m. on Thursday, it appears Oakland’s powerful first baseman will have to rely on fellow players and coaches to reach the first Midsummer Classic of his career.

Oakland players are hardly making a whisper in this year’s fan voting overall, with none other than Olson ranking higher than seventh at their respective position. It’s Olson’s 159,441 votes and fifth-place ranking that sticks out more plainly than the rest, though.

Certainly a guy like Matt Olson should be receiving more votes,” A’s manager Bob Melvin said recently. “I know we’re on a little late and a lot of games on the West Coast aren’t seen. But certainly I would think everybody by now would know who Matt Olson is.”
While elimination would end Olson’s chances of being voted into the starting lineup, it would not completely dash his chances of making it to the July 13 All-Star Game in Denver. Players and coaches vote to determine each roster’s reserves. It’s a process A’s players have become extremely familiar with in recent years.
In the last decade, only one Oakland player has started at the All-Star Game, former A’s third baseman Josh Donaldon in 2014, despite seven other position players having reached the game.”

So Technically no.not by fan vote😁 his team bailed him out just to represent the A’s in the all-star game

Absolutely None!..he can’t do it all himself.Acuna was the only player outside of Freeman doing anything on offense but to answer your question I blame the bullpen which is a must have when you’re trying to reach the World Series..the bullpen was thin at that time and the rotation wasn’t eye popping

I’m looking at it as in 6 years Freeman would retire as a Brave..I’m guessing (personally) that’s what he felt like he had left in the tank.

We have Olson, Acuña and Ozzie for the next 8 years. Riley and Dansby will be locked up soon. Soroka, Fried, Anderson, and other young talent for pitching. Yeah… I ain’t worried.

Jansen is not an Allstar😂😂😂 he’s a closer. Olsen not an All-Star..Freddie is a automatic base hit.Olsen is not.y’all are just super super salty.just two weeks ago y’all were hoping he stayed😅🤔 what am I missing here
3 time ALL-STAR closer. Keep it straight. As already stated, love Freddie and wanted him back. The Dodgers are going down the old George Steinbrenner wormhole of signing the brightest, shiniest available on the market and riding their descent and rinse and repeat the next season. That Yankees dynasty was borne out of George being suspended and others growing their talent in the minors and mixing it with non superstars like Scott Brosius and Paul O’Neill. Forcing aging All-Stars down that water slide to unjam it eventually leads to drowning. Keep trying to convince yourself you’re dominating. You’re getting outmaneuvered.
