Yeah, we finally win a SECT championship and one of the recent segments on Sports Animal Jimmy was throwing some shade about how this team wasn't as good as Grant's 31 win team.

I mean I get if that's your opinion, but ya'll know how Jimmy is when sharing opinions.

I mean 31-6 is impressive, but no SECT championship and just a Sweet Sixteen. Also only played 5 ranked teams in the regular season, this year's team faced 11. That was a great team, but they peaked too soon. 5 of their 6 losses came after February and thus far this year's squad has only 1 loss (so 2 at the worst).

Can we not love both teams equally? We just ran into a really good, really hot Purdue team with a guy that had the game of his life and we lost. That is just college tournament basketball.

This team probably won't win the title either, and very well may lose in the SS again to another really good team, and it will not change how much I love this team one iota.

I know it's not likely, but how crazy would it be if the Vols and Mocs played in the elite 8 for the South region

Mike Woodson, Indiana coach, and longtime NBA coach, just said basketball is secondary for college basketball players.

Man, some fans would lose it if he was there coach. I'm glad there are still coaches, similar to Barnes and Heupel, that are willing to speak some truth about the realities of pro sports vs setting yourself up for the real world that is the endgame for a large majority of college athletes.

I'm all for no time changes but shouldn't we stay on standard time? This will make you constant off with areas that don't follow daylight savings time anyways.

Hell no..leave it on summer time and make the other idiots do it too. I don’t know one single person that likes it getting dark at 5:00 pm in the winter. It freaking sucks.

Fwiw, former Vol EJ Anosike is Big West Newcomer of the Year and Big West First Team. Leads the Big West in scoring and I think 4th in rebounds. Cal State Fullerton plays Duke in the first round.

Also, Rob Lanier's Georgia State team is in the dance.

Isn't Anosike older than Fulkerson?

Oh, and Derrick Walker holds some school records at Nebraska. Like consecutive made fgs, highest shooting percentage in school history, etc. He also made Academic Big Ten team this year, and became the first person in his family to earn a college degree.

I know these guys don't play for the Vols anymore but I don't have qualms with these specific players. They weren't ready for the hard coaching or got recruited over - not bitter departures. I like to see they're doing well and hopefully singing praises of their time with Barnes and on Rocky Top.

Also haven't mentioned Devonte Gaines. He averaged 30 min a game with Kim English's George Mason team and was their top defender.

I also think its great to see Rob Lanier, Kim English, and now Jim Schwartz getting hired away and having success around the country. Hopefully one of those guys has the magic and replaces Rick Barnes in the distant future.

Oh, and DJ Burns was Big South POY, while Drew Pember was Big South DPOY (he also dropped 41pts in a game).

Don’t know who United’s manager will be yet, but that just feels like a bad fit. Ronaldo won’t be there next year if United doesn’t get top 4 this year, which it’ll be pretty difficult for them to do, so maybe Kane is the replacement but they need to be investing midfield and defense badly.

Man United desperately needs someone to teach them how to play/win the sport and stop trying to win the social media/merchandise/marketing game with every signing.

We Chelsea fans have our own issues right now with ownership though. So maybe don’t emulate the getting sanctions part, just the before part when the trophies were pouring in
