He's doubling down on Nova...somebody get that hack to explain Duke, or even UK and AU for that matter, but especially Duke...why was Nova the "last two seed"?

I'm just confused... Nova is the only 2 seed that beat us, true.

1-0 vs Auburn
2-1 vs Kentucky
0-0 vs Duke (but every metric we're ahead of them in except total W/L)

So sure that ONE 2 seed did beat us in the 3rd game of the season on a Neutral court, so we totally didn't deserve a 2 seed over any of the other 3 2 seeds who we have either beaten or have a stronger resume than. Joe should have just stuck to "it's not my decision, but I project based on what I think the committee will do nothing else"

All the smoke points to it. I've already listed the reason why that athletic article absolutely is referring to Nico. AP has been dropping hints. There's a guy on VQ who is clearly connected to Spyre. He is at 100% when he speaks about Spyre/NIL. He's dropping major hints that it's coming this week. It's happening.

What thread did NYC say this week? I actually agree, but I want to see what he said.

Speaking of jamming inside...one of the things that frustrates me most about watching today's hitters against the shift is when pitchers will pitch them outside with the shift on (which is also stupid of those pitchers, but it happens all the time), and hitters STILL won't go the other way with it.

If you want the shift to go away, it can be done organically without changing the rules. Make them pay for it. But that would require hitters to stop being stubborn.

And yes, I'm sure those who hit for a living agree with banning the shift. Just like I'm sure pitchers would agree with doubling the size of the strike zone.
They are banning the shift bc fans in general don’t like it and fans want more offense….Analytics has shown that you score more runs without playing small ball….. lower average…. More home runs…. More walks…. More strikeouts.

ZZ has to take care of the ball better. Now that JJJ is playing up to his level, we can absolutely beat anyone. Just have to protect the ball. Take smart shots. Let it fly from the outside! Anything is possible.

Agree. Also, Plavic is a turnover timebomb the moment he touches the ball. It’s like his hands are coated in butter when cats come scratching at the ball 😂

Remember that linebacker a few years ago out in west Tennessee who we slowplayed as he was only a three star but then as signing day neared we went full court press on? As we got closer to signing day the more “must have” he became. And his thread got real weird with someone claiming to be close to him. He signed with Texas A&M.

Did he ever pan out?

What was the posters name from Dyersburg that was just all over Russell????
God that was a fun forum…..

I'm not worried about ZZ, it's all "recent bias" on him being too loose with the ball.

6 TOs against A&M. But he only had 1 against Mississippi State to go along with 8 assists and 11 points. And against Kentucky he only had 2 TOs and 11 points, including a very timely 3 pointer.

The Arkansas game to close out the season he had 4 as well, but 6 assist and 13 points. The biggest difference was just the lack of fouls called against A&M and how they were guarding him. I think against Longwood and even Michigan/Colorado State he'll play more controlled and his speed will be less haltered by bad officiating.
Thinking more long-term.

Since the beginning of February he's had 30 TOs. That's over 13 games. The 13 games before that he just had 17 TOs. Almost doubled it. Now, he has been playing more...adjusting for minutes, his minute-for-minute turnover rate is still a 41% increase.

Assist:TO down from 1.7 to 1.2 during the same periods. He just seems to be forcing things a bit. Still a freshman...he's growing...just has to play smart. Jmo.
