Jamaal White thoroughly enjoyed his visit to Knoxville. He witnessed Coach Hitr’s high flying offense pass for over 450 yards in a satisfying 42-28 win over rival Florida. White still has a visit scheduled with Missouri later in the season, so we’ll have to survive that. But right now things are certainly trending in the right direction.
Your coaches name is a little too close to hitler

ESPN slurping blue bloods...still.lol

So ridiculous. I used to love Sports Center and stopped watching. Hate it now. The disappointment over the outcome the commentators displayed during our game and the Duke/VT game was so obvious. I hope they develop jock itches that are never cured.

Seems like the staff is in better standing with in-state for 2023 than they were with 2022. It's also plainly obvious that 2023 in-state lacks the star power volume having maybe half as many legit blue chip prospects as 2022 offered. In-state recruiting has to get better, so cannot fault the staff for going after what's there but dang it just seems like we cannot get a break and have increased in-state interest matched with a bumper crop of in-state talent.

Watching that dunk by Hatfield where he drove and slammed it was awesome. I though I heard the announcers say that he reclassified to get in early this year. He is going to be some kind of special player.

That guy is special. It has been so good to see the light come on for him as well as the team.

Winning fixes that. But, we can't make them come, the same as we can’t make them be any good. It’s cool to root for the local talent but I don’t understand the infatuation with it. Zeigler is already one of my favorite Vols ever and he’s from New York. Go find winners and bring them in, wherever they’re from.

Also, even though he was before my time, we owe a lot to Coach Ray Mears. I only know what I've read, but he contributed a lot of traditions to Tennessee.
Ray Mears is the only other decent (Edit for Weezer: Devoe was a decent(mediocre)coach, but not much more than that, he was mediocre, but not a bad coach, does that satisfy you @Weezer) we have had in my lifetime besides Barnes and Pearl.

I am the same way. Use to be the best sports program on TV until they decided to get political instead of just giving us sports news.

This ^.

If you are doing things right you take the elite talent in TN, if any, and recruit the world in basketball. Which is what CRB is doing. Voltello is doing the same method in baseball, just primarily within the US. We don't have to look very far to see how it is done by two of the very best in college sports.

If the players become devoted VFL's, they never stray far from the orange after their college days are done. Which is what you want of all of your players. They become the long term salesmen for the program nationwide by keeping them close to the program.

Method - no madness.

Even the local news is like that now. Nothing but news readers spewing out corporate BS instead of journalists focusing on local market news and events. Propaganda pushers. The infrequent local stories are stuff they find on FaceBook.

Why jimmy in particular?

Imo he’s really good athlete with a lot of potential - just needed to get his head right. I think he’s made for the slot/inside. If he’s bought in and has matured, I actually like his upside more than Hyatts. And I’m a huge Hyatt fan.

Yeah, he’s definitely a good athlete. Has to be more dependable with his hands.

I’m excited to see what having a bonafide 5 star QB does for our class building going forward.
We've counted so many unhatched chickens the past decade that I have to see it before I'll believe it. All the crystal balls in the world don't mean anything without a signed LOI in-hand. I understand that some people don't want to look at it that way. For now, I am more concerned with which potential game changing transfers are they gonna bring in after Spring practice to try and shore up the roster.
