According to The Athletic, this athlete has not signed a letter of intent with the school yet, and despite the multimillion dollar deal, the individual is not bound to sign one. The attorney who drafted the deal told the outlet, “There’s an element of trust there.”
NIL deals have continued to grow across the country, and, per The Athletic, the NCAA Board of Directors asked the Division I council last month to create a report about NIL’s impact on recruiting, as well as other topics.

So the player that signed the $8M dollar NIL deal has not signed with the school that offered it yet? That seems like a slippery slope.

No one can sign until December

Refs get tired of Cal, Pearl, Wade, Mussleman types riding them every possession that they eventually start giving them things to shut them up
As a referee the more a coach rides me (whines) the less of a chance I’m giving them the benefit of the doubt the next time. Trust me, we (well most of us, not Pat Adams) know when a questionable call was made and will make sure it’s called both ways.

By "element of trust" I'm assuming he means there is room for the athlete to wiggle out of the deal. Not to yoink 8 mil to go play somewhere else.

Granted, at Tennessee, we love to pay coaches not to coach here. Only fitting we pay a few players not to play here.

Other thing about our resume.

Texas Tech is playing in their conference championship game. Arizona is playing in theirs. Villanova playing in theirs.

At this point our worse loss is to Bama on the road without KC or Fulky playing, and we still got bad officiating that hurt us.

“3-seed! Lalalala, I can’t hear you, lalalala!”

We should have beat Texas tech and Texas. We only lost the Texas game because of a phantom foul at the end of the game.

Apparently Lunardi still has us significantly behind Kentucky on the S-curve.

My question: why?

NET ranking gap - 4 vs 8

KenPom gap - 3 vs 9

Luck ranking - 80th vs 250th

A lot of that comes back to margin of victories.

UK was way too high among the 2-line to begin with. They almost gained a 1. You don't just jump 4-5 spots over 1 game. Committee doesn't push a ton over 1 game. We started out about 3rd on the 3-seed line. Not sure what people are expecting when the teams ahead (Purdue, Nova, Duke) haven't lost either. It's sort of a 2-way street.

If the committee cares more about the finish as compared to the first half of season - at least a 2 seed. Anybody who has actually watched them in this 14-1 run can see how tough it is to beat them now. FF quality and CRB is a legit COY contender if they get there. Just take care of business tomorrow. Based on what I saw and heard from the players - that's going to happen. They will bring the energy and D. They want the banner. It would be nice if it was a fair officiating crew, but not 100% necessary if they are on.

I expect to be ahead of Kentucky, specifically. Our numbers/resumes are too similar for the committee to discount our head-to-head advantage against them (including a neutral site win).

Several hours later and IT STILL FEELS SO GOOD BEATING THE KITTY"S!!

I agree, but people grew up with wranglers and then had family's and switched to Cherokees and Grand Cherokees. When they want an even bigger car they would have to switch to something like a Tahoe, well this is for the jeep loyal customers that want a competitor to the Tahoe.

Doubt it’s actually true competition…
