Thank you all so much! He’s home with his Savior he said he did not deserve. Loved “Amazing Grace” and “The Old Rugged Cross” so much!! It was peaceful for him, and we were all with him. And I just wanted y’all to know when I was thinking of who to tell, this fantastic group of Volunteers was right there with family!!!🧡🧡🧡
What an awesome testimony! 1st Thess. 4:13. Prayers for your family.

Just wanted to let y’all know that they are moving my dad from ICU to a room with Hospice. Hated watching him go through this last week, but he has been blessed with perfect health for 86 years...worst he ever had was the sniffles or stomach virus. Neither ever stopped him. We know where he is going and great rewards are waiting this good and faithful servant of the Lord. Love you all! @VOLSONLY
God is good! Just prayed for your father and family! Stay strong my Christian friend!

First of all, the statement was actually defending KH from all the basketball experts on this site. Pat Summitt is a legend and put the women's game on the national map.
TN played focused and hard during this tourney. To all the dumbasses, they lost Green, Suarez, Horston, and Burrell is not 100%. Next year this team will be loaded.
Powell can flat out play the game. She played on a horrible MN team. When she is around great players, look out next year. Turnovers will be cleaned up and more speed will be in the line up.
Her offense, or lack of anything remotely resembling an offensive system, is hot garbage. That is a fair and honest criticism.

I hope she figures that part out.

Why did we have a Georgian trophy inside Tennessee grounds to begin with? Yuck and weird. Serious bisch move. Bet the Dawg fans love seeing that though. Do we bring in the Tampa Bay trophy from last year too? Pass.

Hope we don't allow the Bulldogs CFB trophy in there too.

The year of the Georgia teams can't end soon enough.
Eat a snickers Dodger fan.

Braves fan here all my life and Tennessee doesn’t have a MLB team so glad they did this. You don’t have to go see it.

Vandy AD be like: hey students, fun fact you may not know… we lifted our attendance ban, so you can come back!

Student 1: I’m good.
Student 2: What is this basketball?
Student 3: uhhh I’m a trust-fund kid here to just party on Broadway.
Student 4: I have social anxiety disorder, don’t look at me.
Student 5: 我不会说英语
Student 6: वही
And that’s just in the engineering department.

Tennessee is Braves Country with some Cardinal’s and Reds fans mixed in. I’m a Braves fan bc just about every game is on tv here in the Nashville area. The Sounds were the AAA affiliate for the Reds back in the early 90s I believe so that’s why they have some fans here. Most Cards fans are in West TN.

On a side note, Nashville may get a MLB team sooner rather than later. They’ve already picked out the team name, have investors, and stadium renderings. Dave Winfield is an investor. If we get a team, I hope there not in the NL.

Long but rewarding day today. We drove from San Francisco to Yosemite - an interesting cross-section of the state of California. It's a route from ocean, over rolling, lush and green mountains (I assume they're brown most of the year). Then across the San Joaquin Valley before gaining elevation into the Sierra Nevadas.

We were coming into the park from the Northwest and got stopped at the entrance near Hetch Hetchy. Right now the road is closed to all vehicles without 4wd or chains. There was a guy selling chains, but the folks in charge deemed that VT wouldn't approve of the situation so we decided to drive out and swing back up through the valley. Before we left we helped some folks put chains on their cars and I saved some ladies from making the mistake of putting chains on the front of a rwd. They actually gave us a tip despite us trying to refuse.

Anyway, after several hours chewed out of the day we finally made it into Yosemite Valley around 4:00pm and by that time some clouds had moved in shrouding the top of El Capitan. Despite this, El Cap is one of the most incredible natural wonders I've ever seen. I also spotted a very solid trout at one of the bridges.

We rolled out at sunset, taking the Southwest exit toward Fresno. Cutting through the tunnel and the snow-covered 5,000+ ft (what I assume) young sequoia forest. Finally getting to Fresno around 9.

Unless I die before I have a chance, I will be coming back to this valley. Yosemite is incredible.

It'll be cool to have a team in Nashville because it will make watching live MLB baseball easier but I was watching Braves game with my grandmother (RIP) on the back patio before I could walk just like I was watching the Vols with my grandfather. Those memories and my fandom are deeply ingrained, not even a new team right up the road is ever going to change that. Just wish she had been able to hang around long enough to see us win it all again.

I don’t really want to get back into this discussion bc Braves fans seem to be really sensitive that they had the same posters hanging on their wall as Bulldog fans…. That indoctrination by TBS was pretty thorough here in Tennessee…. Funny story….. I was at the Georgia game and an argument broke out between a Tennessee fan and Georgia fan….. The Tennessee fan started it and was drunk and belligerent…. I thought it was going to end in a fight as they going at it pretty good…. Then one of them noticed the other ones Braves hat and stated that well you do have a cool hat… it broke the tension and they ended up going their separate ways. I wish I had caught it on video.
