White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki announced they are now agreeing to put sanctions on Vladimir Putin and Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov personally. But, Psaki wouldn’t confirm that what they intend to do would have any effect on Putin.

KT McFarland, who served as Deputy National Security Advisor for President Donald Trump, said on Fox News she believed that wouldn’t have the desired effect at this point, that they needed to cut the Russians off from the SWIFT system to have an impact.

They have done zilch to even name what assets they have control of or can freeze. Maybe Putin has a Pilot gas card or had some cash left on his Chick-Fil-A app. Outside of that, who knows if there are any real assets they are freezing or if this is just propaganda.

SWIFT appears to be something that would really hurt Russia/Putin.

When I first watched it it looked on purpose, but I found video I think funker530. It was stolen Ukrainian armor by Russians. It shows the Ukrainians kill all but one in a truck and they shot the driver of the track vehicle and is why it swerved. Pretty graphic what they did to the Russian that fell out of back of truck.

Cutting off their oil and natural gas exports would hurt them severely.

Unfortunately, it would hurt us and Europe too since we're so heavily dependent upon Russia. It turns out, Biden canceling those pipelines wasn't such a good idea.

I dont use the cancellation of a pipeline as evidence per say, but the war on fossil fuels. If one is to have such open hostility what better way to cross over to other methods when prices are so high? It equalizes the costs factor for conversion

Alberta tar sh!t is still making it's way to coastal refineries by way of train. It's not like ending the imminent domain seizure of property (which I thought was supposed to be a bad thing?) resulted in a net drop in production. Far from it.

There's a lot more moving parts involved than people either know about or want to think about. I personally choose speculators as my focus of choice.
