War in Ukraine

I don't live in hypotheticals. History says when Trump was in office Ukraine wasn't invaded by Russia, you can draw your own conclusions with current events.
LOL. History says that Kremlin-backed forces were already waging war in the Donbass region of the Ukraine when Trump took office.

Did the US leave $80 billion in weapons behind in Afghanistan?

This is not true. A viral meme claims the U.S. left more than $80 billion worth of weapons behind in Afghanistan, calling it the “Taliban’s new arsenal.” The $80 billion figure does not reflect the amount of equipment acquired by the Taliban after America’s withdrawal from Afghanistan.

Right, I recall it being much more expensive to bring it back and even then - much of it was unserviceable.

Of course you do. Your hypothetical is that if Trump was still in office this wouldn't be happening. I can draw my own but was curious why you drew yours. I'm guessing I should just replace 'why' with 'where'

I said Trump was in office for 4 years, Biden is office for 13 months. Draw your own conclusion. So again, the video by Biden played the fear game that Ukraine would fall if Trump is elected and here we are.

NATO Response Force activated for first time ever in response to Russian invasion of Ukraine

For the first time ever, the NATO Response Force has been activated as a defensive measure in response to Russia's ongoing invasion of Ukraine.

NATO Supreme Allied Commander Gen. Tod Wolters activated the multinational force consisting of land, air, sea and special operations forces from the allies that can deploy quickly in support of the NATO alliance.

The activation of the response troops does not mean that any US or NATO troops will go into Ukraine, which is not a member of the alliance. US President Joe Biden has been clear that US troops are deploying to eastern Europe to help bolster NATO countries nervous about Russia's aggressive actions, and they will not be fighting in Ukraine.

Wolters called it a "historic moment" in his statement.
"They represent a flexible, combat credible force that can be employed in multiple ways and we are utilizing fully their inherent agility,” he added. “These deterrence measures are prudent and enhance our speed, responsiveness and capability to shield and protect the one billion citizens we swore to protect.”
The United States announced Thursday that 7,000 US troops will be deployed to Europe. President Biden said he’d authorized “the deployment of ground and air forces already stationed in Europe,” to Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland and Romania.

It's not accurate to say "4 years and nothing." Russia had been fueling a conflict in the Donbass region of Ukraine, since before Trump even took office. Putin has now dramatically stepped up the levels of Russian aggression, but this is not a new conflict.
Dude.

UPDATE — 11:46 AM EST: The New York Times reports: “The U.S. met with China over three months to present intelligence showing Russia’s troop buildup near Ukraine and to urge Beijing to help avert war, U.S. officials said. Chinese officials rebuffed the U.S. and shared the information with Moscow.”

Let’s hope this doesn’t draw in NATO.

You are missing the point :

1) Obama did not describe Putin's justification for invading Crimea as being "genius."

2). Biden did not describe Putin as "savvy", immediately following this latest act of Russian aggression.

Coming from a former American President, Trump's praise of Putin is bizarre. It just is. Words do matter. Trump continues to be an apologist for Vladimir Putin, and that doesn't make any sense.
Words do matter, I agree. I’ll even agree that Trump is generally horrible with words from about any angle you want to take. However, it’s either a great coincidence or there’s a reason that Putin took action under Obama and Biden and not Trump. I believe he knows that Biden and Obama we’re all hat and no cattle, as the saying goes. Trump might’ve been as well but I think there was enough doubt in Putin’s mind that he waited. Trump’s words, even if not taken out of context and said exactly as you portrayed, still isn’t as bad as having a POTUS that Putin doesn’t think will act this giving him the green light to do what he wants.
