War in Ukraine

Keep it up. Let people see more clearly that Trump is unfit for office. The sooner the GOP finds a decent candidate for 2024 the better.
They don't want to talk about how Trump publicly sided with Putin over Mike Pompeo concerning Russian involvement in the massive cyber-attack against American businesses in December of 2020.

That is obvious.

It establishes a pattern of behavior on Trump's part. Trump has a history of becoming oddly defensive, whenever an allegation of a cyber-attack is made against Russia. If the conservatives/ Republicans/ Trump supporters on here were capable of being honest with themselves about Trump, they would be able to admit that.

And I’ll remind you that Putin took Crimea under Obama and now invaded Ukraine under Biden. Which is worse? Words or war? You seem to think it’s words.
You are missing the point :

1) Obama did not describe Putin's justification for invading Crimea as being "genius."

2). Biden did not describe Putin as "savvy", immediately following this latest act of Russian aggression.

Coming from a former American President, Trump's praise of Putin is bizarre. It just is. Words do matter. Trump continues to be an apologist for Vladimir Putin, and that doesn't make any sense.

After Russia takes Ukraine, which Baltic state do they go after next? With the relative ease they’re able to do this, it will be too tempting for them to stop with Ukraine. And do we sit by when NATO gets involved?

The Chechens I mentioned yesterday aren't with Ukraine. They're fighting for Russia.

They're about to enter Ukraine.

It's going to get ugly when they enter the fray.

Tucker "Politburo" Carlson just days ago.

Tucker isn’t your best example of a gop member. He’s closer politically to Bernie of Yang than he is to Cruz or Paul.

The NYT was blaming the US and NATO within the last week. As have plenty of others on the left.

This is one of the issues in America that is not a left/right thing and an attempt to pretend it is just shows your own bias

The squad has been extremely outspoken about how evil it is to punish Russia for this through sanctions

I wouldn't go that far, but they do care too much about coming to Donald Trump's defense. Trump's praise of Putin's justification for further Russian aggression in the Ukraine was disgusting and bizarre.
If people are being honest, Putin emulated the U.S. in finding a reason to justify this incursion. As I said previously, Trump's praise is not inaccurate. But I will agree it's inappropriate coming from a former POTUS. The guy is an asshat with zero tact, and I want him nowhere near the Oval Office again, He's using this crisis to make political hay against Biden, and if the situation was reversed, I have zero doubt the Dems would be doing the same to him. Hell, we saw it when the Dems used the COVID virus to get Biden elected. Both sides have devolved into politics above all else, and personally, I find it sad. America seems to be losing its ability to unify when we need to, and I blame that mostly on partisan politics.

Start a thread about it. This thread is about the Ukraine invasion.

They were willing to die for their homeland. I actually admire that.

Of course but the strategy of dying fir your homeland against a Russian war ship that you can’t even scratch vs maybe choosing a different option where you could take some with is was the part you can argue about there being a better way to make the ultimate sacrifice.

Sometimes a country needs martyrs.

This is exactly what the people really in power in America want, another excuse for us to go to war so the shareholders and big corporations can get richer in exchange for American lives. We will jump right in the middle as we always do and the corrupt garbage politicians and shareholders here will get richer and richer.

Heh. Waaaaaay too early to write off Ukraine.

They've got 100-150K troops still out there. To date, it would appear they're ready to fight to the death.

If this becomes a protracted urban / guerilla war, Putin's in big trouble.
