War in Ukraine

I'd give every country the weapons those guys in Afghanistan got if it meant that our cybersecurity was ironclad and China/Russia could never get information again.

The day we saw an F-35 on a Chinese runway with Chinese markings on it should have made every American sick.

That would mean you need to publicly hang every sino spy who is stealing economic secrets out of our companies. Good luck on that happening

Wrong. Trump was talking about how Putin used soft language and redefining his actions, a thing the liberal west does, against them. Because of that language, Biden and the west didn't have a response. Putin outplayed the western leaders by using their stupidity against them.
Look, they don’t want to let go because they have to deflect with muh Trump. They can’t defend Xiden because deep down they know he’s a failure but won’t admit it.

With war protests going on, what would happen if Putin taken out? Would Russie get more desperate or stand down? Im thinking that may be the move.
Send in seal team 6 with a group from Ukraine and get it done.

Wondered that myself. What is power structure behind Putin in Russia. Are they all following him out of fear or are his views rampant all through the government.

See the reply to the same objection from Luther and you two take a minute to understand the argument Bowl is making, and that you're defending. It's not flattering to you.

My comments aren't contingent on anyone else's views or arguments.

It's embarrassing for a former president to be calling Putin "savvy" or " a genius" during his armed invasion of a sovereign nation that is friendly to or (even unofficially) an ally of the United States.

It's deranged to even attempt to defend it.

I said what I said.

Honestly, it's hard to say. We can assume the CCP leadership reflects the party at large, but who knows what follows Putin?

Really hope that’s true.

After last night when you asked me to stop screeching about Democrats in this thread...today reading all those screeching posts by BB about Trump and nothing but crickets and likes from you.

The Russian people are good people who have experienced untold trauma. They will do the right thing. Take him out. I have no more concerns. The Putin operatives in the US are our next concern. In the name of Democracy and Order. Do not Side with Putin or his operatives. Sooner or later you will have to make a choice.

You were screeching about democrats being war mongering. The democrats are in no way trying to join this war, so my point stands completely. In fact, you even mentioned code pink, who is already complaining about deploying troops to non-combat areas.

You obviously do not like the hypocrisy of your own nuttsies.
So what...BB has devolved this thread into Trump bashing. Yet that is different. GMAB

There isn't much of a power structure behind him in Russia, which is why that would be such a scary situation if something suddenly happened to him. There are a small number of people who would attempt to succeed him, only because they've stolen so much money they know if they don't get in the catbird seat someone else will and could prosecute them. If Putin himself wasn't around to manage it, the power struggle that would occur after him would likely be very ugly.

Russia is a fairly large population country with the 11th largest economy in the world, but the size of its power elite is more in line with that of a small sub-Saharan African country, and it's mostly people who come from the security/intelligence services. There aren't many economists, lawyers, businesspeople, etc. in their government. It's mostly ex-spies. There is absolutely no telling what might happen if Putin suddenly died or was incapacitated, but all of it is bad.

And just other thing, I have read several Dem comments on here and it infers that this is Trumps fault, and even the MSM saying "Republicans have blood on their hands". Effin ridiculous and yet you won't call that out.

It's not even that deep. We just have people that have access to information that don't even know they have access to it, and certainly don't know how to protect it. Imagine the bank doesn't have locks or cameras, and the vault is wide open.

Foreign cyber criminals and state-sponsored hackers are having a field day.

I've ignored the overwhelming majority of the Biden bashing as well. Sorry, but you're looking for a fight, and you're contributing nothing. Next

@BowlBrother85
I'm consolidating your posts for reply here since they establish your premise that Trump is sympathetic to Russian aggression and you purposely extrapolate his comments to be supportive of the Ukraine invasion. Add a shout out to my posse @Septic @luthervol

Trump clearly acknowledged the invasion as wrong by stating Putin would not have done that with him in the WH and terming it a sad state of affairs; it's the only way it can be read. Yet, for the latest in hundreds of your propagandist mutterings, you claim he supports Russian aggression and is happy about the invasion.

Because he states Putin went about this in a smart way.

You're twisted.
Let's not paraphrase here. Trump referred to Putin's justification for this incursion as "genius." Trump then told us that Putin was a savvy guy. Nowhere was Trump critical of Putin. He was only critical of Biden.

Trump saying that Putin wouldn't have done this if he was still in office, is not a condemnation of this actual Russian incursion. You are a Trump fan boy who wants to see something which simply isn't there. Trump did nothing but praise Putin.

Also, why would Putin be afraid of Trump? Trump publicly sided with Putin's denial concerning the December 2020 massive cyber attack of American businesses, over the conclusion of his own Secretary of State. Trump always sides with any Putin denial. This time, he called him savvy too.

That is a bizarre way for a former American President to characterize an act of Russian aggression.

You are more than twisted. Your defense of Trump for this is downright pathetic. His comments were bizarre and your defense of those comments are inane and ignorant.
