Its funny how the rabid GOPers, so hell-bent on knee jerk bashing of Biden, have shifted from claiming that Biden was wrong about Putin's plans and even justifying Putin's actions, to now mocking the US military and diversity.
As if we would not notice how terribly wrong you were about literally EVERYTHING having to do with this event.
I can give a little info. Prior to Peter and Catherine, Russia was a tertiary power in that region. Ukraine, Poland-Lithuania and Sweden were all equally if not more powerful in the years before the mid 18th century. I believe the kingdoms of Russia and Ukraine were unified on an on and off again basis during that period as wellCan you give more details about this period of Ukrainian independence? Was Kiev/the Ukraine independent of external domination at any time between the Mongol invasion in the 13th century and the collapse of the Soviet Union thirty years ago?

I saw that earlier today. What an ass.Of course this is the most important thing to be concerned about right now

It's not just the military. It's in almost every single big corporation.
Yep. I'm all for diversity and inclusion, at the end of the day I think it makes an organization stronger with varying points of view on execution.
However, the over-the-top reaction post Floyd is not helpful. In my company which is very large, it is starting to alienate non-protected employees and I have heard from more than one in the minority groups that they are actually offended at it. They don't know if the praise/kudos/jobs they receive is legit based on performance or if it is just placating because of their skin color, gender, sexual orientation, etc..
The irony is this over-correction has actually had the opposite effect on the protected class in some respects. With something like the military where the stakes are much higher than an HR department or stock price it can be and is dangerous.
I just wish everything could be color-blind and merit-based as opposed to achieving some quota or agenda.
Yes- to a point. I remember reading studies in my org. behavior class in my MBA that did a fair job finding where that point was. I will have to see if I can find them.Yep. And this is another reason many minorities are actually starting to support the Republican Party. Most people I know, regardless of skin color, are tired of this nonsense.Yep.
