A forceful real threat from NATO would have stood the Russians down. I firmly believe that, because Putin knows if he lost a military conflict in the Ukraine, his political (and possibly real) life would be over. Germany and France will rue doing nothing about this in the future.

And I hate playing "world police" as much as anyone, but sometimes when you are the biggest kid in class, you have to help the smaller kids even if it isn't your fight. History says that isolationism only works for a short period of time. Imagine the lives that could have been saved if Hitler was nipped in the bud. I think you are right on, Grover.

If we are going to continue to tie this business to climate change and BLM we are past screwed. If full blown WW3 breaks out we won’t have a greatest generation hardened by a depression ready to step up, we will have blue haired millennial liberal Twitter warrior brigade screaming about feelings and how they have been offended by words.

I beg to differ. There are a LOT of stupid people who still do not know what happened. You have one post of a woman claiming Putin is getting away with invading because of white privilege. Leftists live in a bubble of cognitive dissonance (or decline in Biden's case). Don't think this will change anything.

I doubt that. Russians like strength. Only if Putin is seen as weak will he be vulnerable. As for "taking him out", you are a fool. Who exactly is going to do this? You and what army? again, this isnt some backwater, its Russia (not what it once was but still). You are like some butthurt Afghan muttering about taking out the US President - equally ridiculous

Too many out there have to be told what to believe or think without trusting what they see. Some will wonder if this gives them to right to protest and casually breakoff into looting a store.
