Putin's speech last night was a real eye opener. He is living proof that absolute power corrupts absolutely.

His revisionist history aside, the man is ultimately just the neighborhood bully. Nothing more than a punk b*tch thug... ohh... with nuclear warheads.

Still, the best way to deal with a bully like Putin is punch him square in the face. He's not dumb enough to use nukes, right?

I hope the Ukrainians are ready to fight. And fight what will probably be a long guerilla warfare scenario. Backed by American intelligence, weapons, money, whatever we can do to help them other than our boots on their ground. It's their fight.

I hope at the end of the day, Ukraine survives. I hope they can stand up to Putin, and ultimately force him to retreat with tens of thousands of dead Russian soldiers in tow. I hope the Russian people learn the truth, and demand change. Rebel against Putin and the oligarchs that suck their country dry, piss on their legs and tell them it's raining.

Never gonna happen. But, hope springs eternal.

No sir. I know that's how many of the "conversations" around here go. And, there are times I am leading a person to a point where their opines contradict. I am not doing that with you. I am genuinely curious how this looks from your vantage point.

Ukraine's spokesperson is on record saying this is their war and they do not want american boots on the ground or americans to fight their battles.

I"ve gotta say, I respect and appreciate that a lot. I hope our politicians listen to them. I have zero confidence they will.

Amen. Sadly, our record on learning from our repeated interventions where we shouldn't be intervening is pathetic. Vietnam, Iraq, Afghanistan, etc. We're like friggin moths to lights.

If China uses this to rationalize taking back Taiwan and both Russia and China align together in this and publicly support each other we are F’d.

Dear Xi, if one Taiwanese plane is shot down; if one Taiwanese ship is sunk; if one Chinese military boot touches Taiwanese soil we will turn your military bases, your ports and your major cities into glass.

Just like the Europeans were stupid for allowing themselves to be at the mercy of Russia for their energy needs, we are not any smarter for outsourcing our manufacturing to Asia. This is a situation we created for ourselves.
