‘23 CA QB Nicholaus Iamaleava (Tennessee)

Glad you feel that way. Your $100,000 NLI invoice is in the mail. NO EXCUSES.

Here is my question about NIL for high school kids. Let’s say Nico gets a big NIL deal with TN right now and he commits. But for some reason, he ends up decommitting. How does that affect the NIL?

They have attorneys writing these up. People don't just throw out 6-7 figure deals without hedging things. You always throw in language that gives you the ability to minimize damage.

That seems to be the popular opinion but I can assure you we have not recently

I can assure you you are wrong.

2018 guys we got over UGA:
JJ Petersen
Alonte Taylor
Emerson
Gooden
Carvin

2019:
Wright
Morris
Crouch
Keyton
McCollough
Williams
Burrell

2020:
Lawrence
Bailey
Wideman
Whitehead
Bailey
Joseph
Mays
Eason

2021:
Willis
Nixon
Parker
Rucker
Young

But yeah we haven’t beaten Georgia for any recruits.

That’s what I was thinking. Surely you don’t give these massive NIL deals without some sort of insurance but I wasn’t sure.

Iamaleava now
You'll take away the biggest part of me
Ooh-ooh, no, baby please don't go
Iamaleava now
You'll take away the very heart of me
Ooh-ooh, no, baby please don't go
Ooh-ooh, boy, I just want you to play

A love like ours is love that's hard to find
How could we let it slip away?
We've come too far to leave it all behind
How could we end it all this way?
When tomorrow comes and we'll both regret
The things we said today

I say we ask Peyton to give what is chump change for him to our QB’s as a “memorial annual scholarship “.
How much does one man have to give for you to be happy? I say you accomplish everything he has and then I'll ask you for more because I can regardless if it's stupid.

Uh... no. From your list the only ones we got over UGA are:

JJ Petersen
Alontae Taylor
Wright

But we did just beat UGA for Pearce and Squirrel

Everyone I listed had offers from UGA per 247.
Having an offer and a committable offer is very different. Georgia did not want 90% of those recruits. We are second in P5 with offers for the 2023 class according to a spreadsheet I saw the other day. Every time one of those kids commits elsewhere, it does not mean we got beat out for them.

It does not. You are signing the player for his ability no matter where he applies it. Like the kid that got all the money at OSU this year that already transferred back to home state Texas.

There can be some language, but it’s pretty tricky. It’s still technically a bit of gamble which is why NIL can’t be the only selling point in a recruitment, especially early.

Ideally, the kid loves this staff and university and also realizes he can make a ton of money here and it’s all good.
