‘23 CA QB Nicholaus Iamaleava (Tennessee)

IMO Nico is better and it would be Vandergriff who would transfer.

AP mentioned something similar of the VQ podcast today. He was talking about what if Nico decided to choose UGA? What would Vandergriff and Gunnar Stockton do? Both are 5* QBs. Highly doubt all of those guys would hang around.

I could see them going to Tennessee, Arkansas, possibly LSU depending how they look offensively.

Kirby Smart tends to pick his starting QB based on who he's the most comfortable with and then has a really hard time going to the backup even when his guy is struggling. UGA fans will tell you that the most talented QB on the roster under Smart has often left for greener pastures. Nico could show up and do everything right but still not see the field if Smart is already really comfortable with Vandergriff or Stockton. He would probably have to be miles ahead of the others to get on the field.

True, evidence there with Justin Fields. Either way one leaves if Nico goes there. 2/3 5* qbs aren't going to sit on the bench.

Smart has a track record of wasting top level talent. If I'm wanting to be developed into one of the best QBs in the league, I'm not looking at UGA. He may do better there, but he won't grow as much as he could if he went to someone with a track record of developing QBs.

This is why I think Heup and company are in this.

Twice now I’ve heard VQ talk about a possible NIL deal with Sypre and Niko. They said if it did happen we wouldn’t know until he was here, but the fact that they brought it up twice is interesting

Granted one of those times was in response to a mailbag question, but they pick which questions they do/do not respond to.

Also if you’re not listening it’s free on YouTube and worth the time

Give him a seven figure package over 3 years and let’s ride

Look if ur gonna back the truck up for a recruit then this is ur guy.The perception that this would have on our program can't be understated,so nailing this visit on March 5th is critical!

Just get it done..........whatever it takes

Remains to be seen since neither of them have played a legit down of college football yet and all we have to go on with Nico is game and camp films with recruitment assessments. Either way, I don't think Vandagriff will go anywhere. JMO. I just want Nico to land here, and I think we have a legit shot at it based on Heup's track record with QB development.

I could absolutely see us making it back to Atlanta if we land Nico because I know he'd be able to help us reel in some stud recruits. I'm not discounting Jackson either.

I say take no one and wait for Nico to transfer a year later, after Smart names the 5th string walk-on to be QB.
