I had doubts about Stetson Bennett's physical abilities and wanted Daniels to win the job in 2021 because I thought he was a better qb. But at this point it seems a bit harsh to suggest Bennett won the job because he was a "feel good story", after he has led his team to a national championship while winning offensive MVP of both playoff games. Maybe they chose the qb who actually was most ready to win games?

Hard to be too critical of any coach who grew tired of a player like Daniels putting himself on the shelf for weeks with a strained pect. I'm just glad we didn't get Daniels, he's made of glass at best. Pruitt wanted him and if he'd been on the roster we probably never bring Hooker in. You see no one is jumping out of airplanes to pick Daniels up out of the Portal. Back to the subject at hand, I like Iamaleava better than Manning for our offense, though that last name writes a snarky future Portal bound tweet/headline all by itself. He's worth the risk though.

Funny thing is Mahomes completely altered opinions of NFL scouts a few years ago when it comes to release and arm angles. He wrecked the myth that there's only one way to do things.

He replaced it with the scouting notion of "if the ball gets there accurately, then it gets there accuractely" and throwing motion and angle could be thrown out the window if what the guy does works.
