Wish there was a million more like you man.Sooo many times all people wanna do is bitch and moan and complain. Its refreshing to see someone go out of their way to give a great review but also promote someone's business (even if it's your brothers Kevin and Steve *Wink Wink*haha kidding. These times that's under appreciated, everybody's just tryin to survive in this crazy world.
Thanks, no relation. The person who referred them to me had a problem with their unit and called one of the large Nashville based companies that I won't name. The tech came out, did a check and inspection, then basically told them they needed a new unit and gave them a roughly $6,000 quote. They decided to get a 2nd opinion and called KS. They went out and quickly diagnosed the problem which was a simple relay switch and charged them a total of less than $200 for everything.

If some company out there is giving out ****** quotes (either intentionally or unintentionally) I feel like they should be named. Thats a HUGE difference.

Same thing happened to me. First quote was that I really needed to replace my entire furnace and outdoor unit and coil. Felt a little pressured. Got another quote and fixed it for 500 dollars
I had an experience like this 5 years ago. Guy told me the whole thing needed replacing.sales manager comes out and puts the full press on me. Had a second guy I trust fix it for $200. Other company doubled down, said my guy was an idiot and it was going out any day. That was 5 years ago….and nothing has gone wrong so far.

The prep work is where it’s at. It’s great, I’d like to do it a least once a month.😂 Hope everything came out all right

You can tell that the RF is aging…used to be conversations about dog farts and frufru beer.

Now it’s colonoscopies and vasectomies…
And the ad below is how to fix your prostate. Then switched to managing your retirement.

😂

As you know, all the fun is in the cleansing process that takes place before you get to the doctor!
Just can't believe this place scheduled an open ended appt. Pun intended. It was like they call you at 3pm, day of, with show time. Which was 5:45 for me. Then you leave like 3.5 hrs later. Also there was like 4 ppl after me. Poor souls.

That’s a common story. I learned from my dad soon after owning a home that the big companies want to replace instead of repair. I just had a similar experience last July. I use a big company for annual inspection, and they gave me a high dollar quote to replace a condenser. When they detect a problem, I use a single guy who is very honest. He came in, added freon for a couple of hundred bucks, and we were good to go. His philosophy is to replace only when the unit can no longer run.

My ads are all the same now, suicide prevention hotline.
Heard part of "Suicide Is Painless" on a tv show the other night. I realized that I hadn't heard it in forever and decided to play it on YouTube.
Well.. I'm truly, truly thankful it's they're there for those that are in need but I just wanted to hear an old song. 😐😐😕

Why not use him for the annual inspections too?

When we built our home, our builder had me meet with all his subcontractors. Especially plumbing, HVAC, and electricians. They were all independent, honest hardworking folks. We still use them because honesty is hard to find.

The couple that owned the HVAC wanted to retire and sold their company. The buyer was a flimflam salesman who recommended “in his expert opinion” that we replace our units as they were at the end of their life and failing. Dropped the company that day. That was 10 years ago and we just replaced them in 2021.

The big companies offer other services, and we had an electrical issue that they fixed. As part of their service they offer “the club” at a price that is very reasonable. You can probably guess who it is now. I figured my single guy makes more money on repairing anyway, so I want him for those jobs.

If you are depressed you are living in the past, if you are anxious you are living in the future, if you are at peace, you are living in the present.

I read this and couldn’t help but think that this quote perfectly describes the 3 types of posters on VN. You can switch from on type to another… 🤔
